The Mouse GABA (Gamma-aminobutyric acid) ELISA Kit is an enzyme immunoassay for the quantitative determination of GABA in mouse serum and plasma.

The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with GABA. During the reaction, GABA in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of GABA on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Antibody specific to GABA. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed from the plate, and HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm. The concentration of GABA in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve. The concentration of the target substance was inversely proportional to the OD450 value.
