For the third volume of the Vinyl Collection series, "Vinyl Collection vol. 3", Stockfisch has selected songs from its repertoire that, thanks to their deep, soft and transparent timbre, are particularly well suited sonically to the vinyl record. The tracklist includes songs from the latest works of Allan Taylor, Steve Strauss, David Muyon and Paul O'Brien. Then there are also pieces from some of Stockfisch founder Guenter Pauler's more recent discoveries, such as Carrie Newcomer from Indiana, Kerstin Blodig from Norway and the Anglo-Irish band Ranagri. Carrie Newcomer is a very good singer with a velvety voice and her sincere songs captivate audiences all over the world. Singer, songwriter and guitarist Kerstin Blodig presents songs from her debut album for Stockfisch, pieces recorded in a clearing in one of the largest forest areas in Germany, in Solling. The inspiring natural atmosphere that has entered the album through the birdsong and the sounds of the vegetation, fits wonderfully with Kerstin's Norwegian songs and the deep sound of the acoustic guitar. The Ranagri quartet hails from the UK and consists of an Irish traditional musician, two classically trained musicians and a blues singer and guitarist, all with a passion for folk music.
