Grasping Cuff with Wrist Support

The Grasping Cuff with Wrist Support is designed to provide grasping capabilities for people with limited hand function but good arm strength. The comfortable, soft suede cuff is designed to fit the right or left hand. The grasping cuff is constructed with Dycem material to help stabilize the objects in hand and provide a stronger grip.

Aids Limited Mobility and Hand Dexterity

For activities requiring a racket, cue, pole, bat or paddle, the Grasping Cuff with Wrist Support provides a secure grasp on rod-shaped objects. One end of the cuff wraps over the fingers to form a closed fist around the rod-shaped handles. The grasping cuff assists individuals of all ages with limited mobility and hand dexterity.

Easy Application and Adjustment

Lined with Dycem to prevent slipping, the cuff wraps around the back of the hand and fingers and adjusts securely around the wrist. The cuff then fastens with a D-ring hook and loop closure. For circumstances when the full finger wrap is not necessary, insert the alternate strap through the rectangular metal loop on the palmar piece. Attach the hook on the strap to loop on palmar piece, then fold the strap back and adjust for proper tightness.

Other Details:

  • Designed for use by individuals with grasping and limited hand function yet good upper extremity strength
  • Simply adjust the hook and loop strap, which covers top of hand and wraps around fingers, for a secure fit around rod-shaped objects
  • The latex-free cuff is made of suede leather and lined with Dycem to prevent slipping, and fits the right or left hand
  • The D-ring and hook and loop closure allows for easy application and adjustment independently
  • For activities requiring a racket, cue, pole, bat or paddle, the cuff is designed to tighten the user's grip around the rod-shaped item held in the palm

What I've been looking for
Size: Large (Pack of 1)
Just got my Nero Ball. Only used it once, but really like it. I've tried other "ball on a string" type toys, with unsatisfactory results. I'll be using it as a training reward, and my boy, who is a pretty ferocious tugger, is going to learn 2 new things with this ball. 1st, to target the ball instead of the rope, and 2nd, that it's for a little gentle tugging instead of the full throttle stuff he does otherwise. After our 1st session with the Nero Ball, he's picking up on the new rules quickly. We'll see how it does long term, but I think this is one I'll stay with. *UPDATE* Been using my Nero Ball for a month now. I'm tempted to call it the 'Hero Ball' because it's just that terrific!! For me, the key has been putting in the time to allow both myself & my dog to develop the skill to use this tool smoothly. May sound strange, but using a toy as a training reward requires practice, and each different toy configuration requires different handling. It's time well spent - we're both having a lot of fun! Kudos to the designer of this ball. Every detail has been carefully considered, from the length & material of the rope (just the right length that the dog won't step on it; material is easy on the hand while still being tough enough to withstand a few toothy grabs; the loop is the perfect size to grab for a little tug or to pass the ball through to slip-knot it onto a belt loop). The ball is also just right. The knobs make it non-slip, the rubber eliminates tennis ball fuzz concerns, and being semi-hard and hollow makes it slightly compress-able, which makes it a higher value reward than a solid ball that can't be compressed. While this ball will not work for every application or for every dog, if you carefully read & understand the information provided and don't expect it to work outside those parameters, you will be pleasantly surprised by a very well designed, well constructed tool that you can use to enhance your training or play sessions with your dog.

Nice toy
Size: Large (Pack of 1)
This product is generally durable and easy to throw. However, the original rope knot came undone after just four throws, per my wife. Unfortunately, my knot-tying skills are limited to fishing knots and slip knots, which is on me. While I can't give a perfect score, I believe it deserves a 4.5 out of 5 stars due to the knot issue. A simple solution would be to apply heat shrink tubing over the knot and heat it to secure it, which would enhance its reliability and potentially elevate the rating to a perfect five stars.

Our German Shepherd loves it!
Size: Large (Pack of 1)
Order arrived promptly and in good condition. Our GSD barely let us get it out of the package before wanting to play with it. Works great as training reward and for fetch games. Been using it for three weeks, and it is holding up well.

I think this family company improved the strength of the rope staying in the ball
Size: Large (Pack of 1)
I bought two of these balls when I needed to replace my old ones. After I got them I decided to read some reviews and I noticed people were complaining about their rope pulling through easily and their dog chewing through the rope fast. First of all this strictly is a ball for reward and yes tug as a reward while training mostly working dogs and sport dogs so the rope is designed perfectly for that reason. It’s not a chew toy. And as for the rope pulling through easily. I have a big male shepherd over 100 lbs who I was participating in a dog sport with a lot of Really strong tugging and this ball stood up to it perfectly. I think they must have taken advice from the reviews and improved the b-ball if people were having the issue of the rope coming out and someone had suggested putting a piece of something inside the ball to hold the rope in better and now there is one so I would feel fine about suggesting this ball as a reward and training ball. My dog loves them!
