Beginning with their leaving Nashua, New Hampshire, and moving to Brooklyn, New York, in 1927, this book is about the children of Frederic Carroll Merrill (1884Ð1965) and Mary Elizabeth Fitzgerald (1886Ð1918): Dot, Lib, Gil, and Fred. The book is largely a collection of photographs which I have gathered from my cousins, presenting a collage of our parentsÕ lives in Brooklyn and a glimpse into the lives of their children and grandchildren. Hopefully, you will enjoy this photographic journey into the past.

Irish Like Me: Seasoned in New Hampshire, published in 2021, introduces Dot, Lib, Gil, and FredÕs grandparents and reveals their stories and those of close family members. Their grandparents were living in Merrimack County, New Hampshire, when Dot, Lib, Gil, and Fred were born. Their two grandmothers were Irish Catholic immigrants. One of their grandfathers was born in New Hampshire, the son of Irish Catholic immigrants. The other grandfather was born in Maine, and his roots extend to the first wave of European immigrants, primarily English Protestants, who arrived in New England during the 1600s.

No stinging eyes for 6 yrs
Size: 4 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Out of all the sunscreens I've tried (zinc or otherwise) Alba Botanica is the only one that has not stung my eyes. Been using continuously for around 6 years. 7-8 years ago tried Neutrogena zinc sunscreen. It didn't sting initially but started stinging 1 year after continuous use. And Alba Botanica zinc Spf 50 does leave a white cast, just less intense than Neutrogena zinc.

Great on paper, but milky
Size: 4 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Based on my research I think it's one of the best physical sunscreens. Highest active ingredient percent and good price. It is quite white and harder to melt in and I still tan quite deeply.

Too thick and Difficult to Spread
Size: 4 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I’ve been using this sunscreen for several years. It was getting a good rating from Environmental Working Group in terms of being healthy for the skin. However, I finally gave up on it because it is so thick and difficult to spread. There are other healthy sunscreens that are not so thick and chalky.
