Light Kit for LEGO® Super Mario Game Boy™ #72046 – Power Up Your Nostalgia
It's time to press start on a journey back to 1989. The LEGO® Super Mario Game Boy™ isn't just a set; it's a battery-powered time machine, a cultural icon that fits in your hands. As an AFOL, I know that iconic screen wasn't backlit, but our memories of it are bright. This Bright My Bricks light kit gives this retro masterpiece the glow we wish it had, turning it into the ultimate display piece. See how we light up the entire Mushroom Kingdom in our LEGO® Super Mario Light Kits collection.
Level Up Your Display: 6 Iconic Features
The Iconic Screen Glow
We've engineered a custom green light panel to fit perfectly behind the screen, recreating that classic, ghostly green dot-matrix glow that defined a generation of gaming.
"Power On" Indicator Light
A single, tiny red bit light is slotted precisely into the "power" indicator spot. It's a small detail, but it's the one that tells you the magic is on.
Subtle Button Backlight
To give the controls the attention they deserve, soft white LEDs are placed under the A, B, and D-pad, giving them a clean, premium highlight without being distracting.
Illuminated Cartridge Slot
A single, warm white bit light shines from within the cartridge slot, adding depth and a hint of magic, as if the console is actively reading the game data.
Mario Diorama Spotlight
The tiny Super Mario Land diorama on top gets its own feature! A discreet spotlight illuminates the micro-scale Mario, celebrating the game that started it all.
The Perfect Retro Companion
This kit is designed to sit proudly next to its home console counterpart. The clean lighting and sharp details make it the perfect partner for our Light Kit for the Nintendo Entertainment System™ #71374.
"Now you're playing with power... portable power!"
For many of us, this was our first real console. This light kit does more than just illuminate a model; it recaptures that feeling of playing under the covers with a tiny book light, of seeing that screen glow in the dark. It turns a static brick replica into a monument to our childhood.
Don't let this piece of gaming history sit dark and powered-down. It's time to give it one more life, to let it shine as the icon it is. Give your Game Boy™ the glow it has deserved for 30 years. Add the Bright My Bricks light kit today!
