Why you’ll love CR24

6 mm comfort—without the wobble
Too thin and your joints complain; too plush and balance suffers. Around 6 mm is a versatile “sweet spot” that many buying guides highlight for day-to-day practice—enough cushion for kneeling and seated work while still stable for standing flows and single-leg poses. REI’s expert guide breaks down how thickness and surface textures influence feel, stability, and when to layer a towel in hot classes. REI

Grippy, non-slip texture
From Down Dog to low lunges, CR24’s subtly textured top helps reduce sliding so you can keep attention on breath and alignment—not on re-centering your stance between poses. The surface is moisture-resistant, which also makes quick wipe-downs after class a breeze. Yune Yoga

Durable by design (and simple to clean)
Commutes, home flows, hot classes—bring it on. CR24 combines anti-tear construction with easy care: wipe with mild soap and water, then air-dry completely before rolling. For occasional deep cleans, REI recommends a short soak → light scrub → rinse → full air-dry routine to keep mats fresh longer. Yune YogaREI

Thoughtful materials
CR24’s PVC is phthalate- and latex-free and the print is UV-cured for long-wearing color—a smart combo for home practice and shared studio settings alike. Yune Yoga

How CR24 supports your practice

Whether you’re building heat in vinyasa, cross-training with Pilates, dialing in mobility, or easing into restorative, CR24 delivers a soft-yet-stable base. The 6 mm profile cushions knees, wrists, and hips while preserving ground feel for balance work. If you practice hot, add a full-length yoga towel—a machine-washable sweat barrier that enhances traction and keeps your mat fresher between deep cleans. REI’s guide also calls out towel layering as a practical way to balance grip and hygiene during sweaty flows. REI

Care & cleaning (quick routine + deeper refresh)

  • After class: Wipe CR24 with a damp cloth and a small drop of mild soap; air-dry completely before rolling so moisture isn’t trapped. (The CR24 page emphasizes its moisture-resistant and washable finish.) Yune Yoga

  • Occasional deep clean: Follow REI’s method—lukewarm soak + light scrub + thorough rinse, then full air-dry until totally moisture-free. REI

  • DIY between-session spray: REI’s cleaner recipe is simple: mix vinegar or witch hazel with water at a 1:4 ratio, lightly mist, wipe, and let dry. REI

Hot-class tip: A towel on top not only improves grip when you sweat—it also reduces abrasion so your tan print stays crisp longer. REI

Frequently asked questions

Is 6 mm too thick for balance work?
For most practitioners, 6 mm strikes a solid comfort-vs-stability balance: it cushions joints while still letting you feel grounded. If you crave maximum floor feel, go thinner; if your knees are sensitive, you’ll appreciate the extra padding. For selection tips (materials, textures, towel layering), see REI’s yoga-mat guide. REI

How should I clean the mat after a sweaty class?
Use the quick wipe-down above and let the mat air-dry fully. For a periodic reset, follow REI’s soak-and-rinse steps, or keep the 1:4 DIY spray handy between sessions. REI+1

What is CR24 made of?
CR24 uses PVC that’s phthalate- & latex-free and is digitally printed with UV-cure inks for durable color and pattern longevity. Yune Yoga

Was I Ever Proved Wrong
Format: Kindle
I'll admit it — going in, I was skeptical. How could normal-speed villains possibly threaten someone like Wally West, a teenager gifted with powers that let him run at supersonic, even near-light speeds? How could Captain Cold, Captain Boomerang, or the Trickster be anything more than a brief blur in his rearview mirror? But Absolute Flash #1 masterfully convinced me. This issue doesn’t just showcase raw speed; it explores naïveté, inexperience, and the hidden mental limits that come with sudden, godlike power. Wally, only 15, isn’t just fighting external foes — he’s grappling with his own inexperience with the Speed Force. The creative team understands that raw velocity without control or understanding is a recipe for chaos, not invincibility. What really impressed me is how the narrative balances the fantastical with the believable. We watch Wally fumble through situations where, logically, he should dominate, but his youth, overconfidence, or lack of finesse opens the door for “normal” villains to challenge him. It’s not just a fight of feet — it’s a fight of wits, adaptation, and personal growth. And here’s the kicker for me personally: > Just as Wally West is learning to harness the sheer, overwhelming power of the Speed Force, I’m learning to harness the overwhelming power of AI, especially ChatGPT. Every breakthrough Wally experiences — every stumble, every moment of awe at his own potential — mirrors my own journey of mastering this technology. We’re both standing at the edge of something massive, something world-changing, and learning how to rise to the challenge. I can’t wait to see where Absolute Flash takes Wally next. What happens when a boy learns to truly master unstoppable power? And more provocatively: how will the world react when it realizes it can no longer defeat him? This isn’t just a superhero comic — it’s a metaphor for anyone grappling with newfound potential. Absolute buy. Absolute 5 stars.

Great jumping on point

I haven't REALLY read comics in 20 years. This was a great place to start off. Excellent story, beautiful art and a great mix of new and old character. I have questions but I'm not lost.

Good Start for X-men from the Ashes
Format: Kindle
The art is different than previous issues and takes a little getting used to, but overall above par. With comics, it’s always about the art first, the writing second. The dialogue pops for the most part. And the characters make sense. I rather like the scenes between Cyke and Logan, Hank and Cyke, and Magneto. Also it makes sense that after being tortured and put through hell - Cyclops would retreat to his birthplace, Alaska, and take the mutants who can’t blend in with humans, or are ostracized with him. The team up works for me - we have people who are deadly, former assassins and villains, which again works well with Cyclops, a character who believes in second chances. Only quibble - is the villains feel kind of stale? I was never a fan of the U-Men. But I’ll give it a chance, the rest is working for me so far.

Fun new start
Format: Kindle
I really enjoyed this first issue. The team's dynamics seem to be getting a lot of focus which I like. And the action jumps out of the page. The character designs will take some getting used to but the art is honestly fantastic. Most enjoyable part to me was the team actually feeling like a team, with lots of small interplays and Cyclops really feeling like the leader he should be. I'm not sure I like Orchis as the villains again but we'll see how it goes.

Great new beginning
Format: Kindle
I didn't really care for the Krakoan era as a whole, and knowing how comics, especially the X-Men, go through cycles every few years, knew it wouldn't last. I'm especially glad to see the somewhat bland logos go and the classic ones return. I like this line up so far, especially the inclusion of the Juggernaut. I remember reading the comics years ago when he first switched sides, and was.disappointed when he went back to being bad. I haven't read the concluding chapters of the Krakoan era yet, so seeing a "classic" version of the Beast is a little surprising since the last time I saw him he had turned into an evil piece of %#@+. The story by Jed MacKay was interesting and entertaining, as I knew it would be. I've always enjoyed Ryan Stegman's art. Looking forward to more of this series and the other X-Men books, especially Uncanny X-Men.
