Dream MakerThe new novel from Kim Dallesandro. On July 15th, 1976, twenty six children and a bus driver from Chowchilla California were kidnapped and buried alive in a rock quarry 106 miles away in Livermore. This is not a story about that. This is a story about the people who lived through that. The new novel from Kim Dallesandro. On July 15th, 1976, twenty six children and a bus driver from Chowchilla California were kidnapped and buried alive in a rock quarry 106 miles away in Livermore. This is not a story about that. This is a story about the people who lived through that. This is a story about fear, mindful meditation, loss and most importantly, a story about what is a lie and what is the truth; a story about living and a story about dying. A story about letting go and surrender.
ÒIn Dream Maker, Kim Dallesandro, delivers with prowess a work of fiction that had me on the edge of my seat wanting more. I couldnÕt tell you what the story was even about but the dialogue between the characters set scenes that were intriguing. Kim shows expertise at reeling the reader in and not letting you go until sheÕs had her way with you and you love every delicious minute of it! Dream Maker is a work of captivating art!Ó
(Lisa Cherry, author of ÔThe Hard WayÕ)
ÒThis is a book of lyrical and dreamlike prose, with a stunning and heartbreaking end, as four people hope for absolution and with love and compassion struggle for the acceptance of pain and loss and its permanence in a life of impermanence.Ó
(Kathy Doyle)
ÒKim weaves a tapestry of MaggieÕs life. The apprehension builds as MaggieÕs life unravels.Ó
(Mary Nelson)
"Once again, Kim Dallesandro manages to tell a raging story in which the characters are fully developed and completely distinct through the words they speak. Reading Dream Maker is like watching a movie. What surprises and delights me the most in all KimÕs work is her ability to provide the reader all the information necessary to follow whatever is going on in the story. She provides charactersÕ individual histories through dialogue that streams through and defines each character. I always want to know what each of them will do next and where they will end up. This comment, by Maggie, ÔShe marched through JennyÕs life, Maggie did, at what would now be called the eleventh hour, like a Joan of Arc character, she assessed the damage and miraculously a week or so later what was had returned. ThatÕs the short version of a much longer, more complicated story,Õ says it all. I want to know more about that complicated story."

Comfortable and Easy to Wear Daily
Size: 2 Little Kid, Color: Navy/Blue
My daughter has been wearing these navy/blue shoes since the weather has been less rainy and more sunny. They are great for outdoor play, especially on days when it's warm outside. The knit mesh upper keeps her feet from overheating, and the cushioned insole feels supportive without being stiff. At size 2, the fit is accurate and the width runs a bit roomy, which gave her some growing room without feeling loose. The slip-on design with elastic laces and pull tabs is a real plus. She can get them on and off without any help, which she loves. The shoes are light enough that she barely notices them during long active days. My one small complaint is that the sole feels more like firm foam than rubber, so they can be a little slippery on smooth indoor floors. For the price, these deliver solid everyday value. They look good, hold up well to regular use, and my daughter reaches for them first most mornings. Pros: - Breathable mesh keeps feet cool - Easy slip-on design with elastic laces and pull tabs - Lightweight and comfortable for all-day wear - Accurate sizing with a roomy width - Durable for the price Cons: - Sole can be slippery on hard smooth surfaces - Limited outsole grip compared to rubber-soled shoes

Great kids' shoe — easy on, comfy all day
Size: 3 Little Kid, Color: Pink/Lavender
My kid has been wearing these for a few weeks now and I'm genuinely impressed with how well they've held up. The knit mesh upper keeps feet cool and comfortable during long days at school and outdoor play, and the cushioned EVA midsole does a great job absorbing impact. What really won me over is the slip-on design with elasticated laces and dual pull tabs — my child can put them on and take them off completely independently, which is a huge win. The fit is snug but not tight, and they run a bit roomy in width, which is great for kids with wider feet or those who need a little growing room. At $32, the quality feels solid for the price. Lightweight, breathable, and easy to wear — these check all the boxes for an everyday kids' shoe.
