Stacyc x KTM – Replica 16eDRIVE

The Stacyc x KTM Replica 16eDRIVE is built for young riders who are ready for more speed, more control, and a more “real bike” feel. Sized for kids ages 4–8 (under 34 kg) with a 45–61 cm inseam, it bridges the gap between beginner push bikes and full mini moto machines. The aluminum TIG-welded frame keeps it lightweight and strong, while the new high-output brushless motor delivers smooth acceleration that helps kids build throttle control without feeling overwhelmed.

Three selectable speed modes let kids start slow and work their way up, with a top speed of around 21 km/h in Advanced mode. The composite 16" wheels paired with pneumatic tires provide traction on dirt and pavement, and the BMX-style steel fork adds stability and strength for everyday riding. With a quick-swap lithium-ion battery and BMX-style chain and freewheel, it’s a simple, durable setup that encourages real skill development.

Why We Like It

It feels like a proper mini moto starter bike. The motor comes on smoothly, the tires have real grip, and the chassis doesn’t flex or feel toy-like. Kids can focus on balance, braking, and throttle control while still having fun at every speed. Plus, the KTM look gives it that race-bike vibe they get excited about.

Why It’ll Work for Your Rider

This bike helps kids learn how to manage speed safely as they grow. The selectable modes let them start slow and progress naturally, the low weight makes it easier to handle, and the battery swaps quickly so the fun doesn’t stop when it’s empty. It’s easy to maintain, tough enough for everyday use, and gives kids the control and confidence they need before moving up to a gas or bigger electric bike.

It Should be Read by Parents and Children Together
Format: Hardcover
I will always remember that when I was a child, I read Manners Can be Fun by Munro Leaf with my mother. When I found out that 4 of his books, including Reading Can be Fun, were still available I hunted them down. As a parent and psychologist, married to a teacher, I believe that all parents should read this book, as well as the others, with their children at an early age instead of letting them watch TV unattended. It worked with my children. It is an investment well worth the time.

Love them all!
Format: Hardcover
My son has long loved the story of Ferdinand (as have I), so I was delighted to be pointed to these books, now back in print. My son is impatient to read, and reading this aloud to him has been wonderful...For him to think of the places he'll go, and the friends he will meet and share with others is magical. All within books. I highly recommend!

Reading can be fun.
Format: Hardcover
I particularly like Munro Leaf's book on reading, which was written for young children to either read or be read to. The logic of choosing good things to read to develop the mind ( as compared to exercise for the body to develop) is a basic concept in the book. The stick figures are fun and mirror the text well.

Rather dull.
Format: Hardcover
It seems dull and preachy now but may have been fine when it was written (many moons ago). However, not a patch on the magnificent (at least in my memory as a child) Ferdinand The Bull - still a favourite of mine (am I really that old?) I've recently bought many copies for a number of two-year-old children.
