When Americans think of modern warfare, what comes to mind is the US army skirmishing with terrorists and insurgents in the mountains of Afghanistan. But the face of global conflict is ever-changing. In Out of the Mountains, David Kilcullen, one of the world's leading experts on current and future conflict, offers a groundbreaking look at what may happen after today's wars end. This is a book about future conflicts and future cities, and about the challenges and opportunities that four powerful megatrends-- population, urbanization, coastal settlement, and connectedness-- are creating across the planet. And it is about what cities, communities and businesses can do to prepare for a future in which all aspects of human society--including, but not limited to, conflict, crime and violence--are changing at an unprecedented pace. Kilcullen argues that conflict is increasingly likely to occur in sprawling coastal cities, in peri-urban slum settlements that are enveloping many regions of the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia, and in highly connected, electronically networked settings. He suggests that cities, rather than countries, are the critical unit of analysis for future conflict and that resiliency, not stability, will be the key objective. Ranging across the globe--from Kingston to Mogadishu to Lagos to Benghazi to Mumbai-- he offers a unified theory of "competitive control" that explains how non-state armed groups such as drug cartels, street gangs, and warlords draw their strength from local populations, providing useful ideas for dealing with these groups and with diffuse social conflicts in general. His extensive fieldwork on the ground in a series of urban conflicts suggests that there will be no military solution for many of the struggles we will face in the future. We will need to involve local people deeply to address problems that neither outsiders nor locals alone can solve, drawing on the insight only locals can brinBinding Type: Hardcover

Best Frother Ever!
Color: Black
Great little frother and very powerful after just one charge. I haven’t charged it since the first day and it is still going strong after 3 weeks. I use it daily for coffee froth, but have used it for mixing other things as well. It works great on mixing drink powders into water and for making salad dressing from scratch. It’s one of the best things I’ve purchased on Amazon for kitchen tools. My old frother ate through batteries and was 1/10th as powerful. This one really is amazing. Great quality heavy duty but still small machine. Extra attachment heads are also a bonus.

Very good frother that gets the job done extreamly well
Color: White
I hvae used this frother primarily for smoothies and coffees. Each time, it does a wonderful job.
Deducted a star for the location of the speed control which is ontop of the device. It's akward to use one handed while attempting to control the speed, athough it's advertised as making it easier. It's not!

Good quality
Color: Black
Have used the frother 5 days in a row. It comes already charged. Fingers crossed no issues when I eventually have to charge it.
I love everything about it. It’s worth a little bit of extra money as you can control the blending power from slow to fast. Easily held with both hands to coordinate. Today for a change I elected to just add a touch of bourbon caramel syrup to my oat milk -an excellent choice!
They give you two attachments which is helpful. I’m not hard on my kitchen appliances but it’s good to know I have an immediate back up if needed. I rinse frother attachment out immediately in a cup of warm water and air dry on a towel. At this point, I highly recommend.
My next adventure in the kitchen will be Matcha tea. I will use the bamboo whisk for the actual tea. If I decide to add oat milk to the top,(such as for a cold latte) I will use this frother.

Higher quality then I expect, very satisfied
Color: Gray
High quality overall, very high powered. It looks really fancy and elegant. The adjustable speed knob on the top is really great. The stand looks really nice but isn't the best design because it is easy to knock over when you take it out, that's my only issue with it.

Typhur Sync Gold Wireless Meat Thermometer
Color: Black
I’ve been extremely impressed with the Typhur Sync Gold Wireless Meat Thermometer. From the first use, it’s clear this is a premium product designed with both convenience and accuracy in mind. The wireless setup makes cooking so much easier—no more dealing with tangled cords or constantly opening the oven or grill to check temperatures. The app is intuitive and provides real-time updates, which gives me total confidence that my food is cooking exactly the way I want it.
What really sets this product apart, though, is not just the performance—it’s the exceptional customer service. I ran into an issue with one of the probes, and I have to say their support team was outstanding. They responded quickly, were easy to work with, and resolved the problem without any hassle. They sent me a replacement probe at no cost, which really shows they stand behind their product and care about their customers.
Overall, the Typhur Sync Gold delivers on all fronts: accuracy, ease of use, and reliability. Add in their top-notch customer support, and it’s an easy recommendation for anyone serious about cooking or grilling.
