A Christmas Carol in Prose, Being a Ghost-Story of Christmas, commonly known as A Christmas Carol, is a novelette by Charles Dickens, first published in London by Chapman & Hall in 1843; the first edition was illustrated by John Leech. A Christmas Carol tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, an old miser who is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come. After their visits Scrooge is transformed into a kinder, gentler man.
Dickens wrote A Christmas Carol at a time when the British were examining and exploring Christmas traditions from the past, such as carols, as well as new customs such as Christmas trees. He was influenced by experiences from his own past, and from the Christmas stories of other authors, including Washington Irving and Douglas Jerrold.

Life's Lessons
Format: Hardcover
This is such a delightful story that every child can relate to in the little mishaps of life. It brought a smile to my face as I pictured "Grandpa" offering comfort and encouragement. It is a lesson for all ages and bigger problems in life as well...."Don't Worry, Stay Happy." Thank you, Nicole, for sharing your story.

Definitely recommend this!
Format: Kindle
This is a wonderfully written and beautifully illustrated story about a boy teaching others to be kind. There are many examples of being kind with even more suggestions at the end of the book. We ALL need to be kind to others because the world is a better place to be if we respect others and are nice to them. Being mean or selfish diminishes us and makes the world more inhospitable.
