The configuration combining the Libec QH1 fluid head and the Libec P1000 pneumatic pedestal forms the backbone of the official Libec QD-10PD Studio Pedestal System.

This setup is optimized for mid-to-heavy television studio environments and broadcast workflows. It is specifically designed to handle full studio configurations, teleprompters with talent monitors, and small box lenses up to a system payload of 40 kg (88 lbs).

System Component Breakdown

1. Libec QH1 Heavy-Duty Fluid Head

  • 4-Bolt Studio Mount: The QH1 natively features a flat base that bolts directly to the P1000's top plate using a standard 4-bolt mechanical layout (P.C.D. 111.1mm). This ensures absolute structural rigidity, completely eliminating flexing or shifting during snappy pans.

  • Continuous Micro-Counterbalance: Employs Libec's smooth continuous internal spring layout paired with a backlit side index meter. It provides perfect balance for camera setups weighing between 15 kg and 35 kg (33 to 77 lbs), ensuring the camera remains completely motionless at any tilt angle.

  • 7-Step Disked Fluid Drag: Uses an advanced multilayered metal disk architecture across 7 progressive stages of pan and tilt friction, giving operators highly repeatable, static-free resistance for long-lens tracking.

2. Libec P1000 2-Stage Pedestal Column

  • Pneumatic Upper Column: The pressurized top stage floats the camera setup weightlessly, allowing smooth manual "on-air" height elevation changes via the 19.7" steering ring.

  • Gas-Spring Assisted Mid Column: The lower stage utilizes a heavy-duty physical gas spring, enabling quick baseline height changes when building out the rig.

  • Pressure Safety Architecture: Features a built-in mechanical air pressure gauge with an integrated safety relief valve that automatically vents pressure at 143.6 psi to prevent over-pressurization.

3. Libec DL-15B High-Performance Dolly

  • 3-Way Foot Caster Control: The 125mm dual-wheel casters feature a step-switch mechanism that instantly sets the dolly into three modes: Free Mode (all-wheel pivot), Tracking Mode (locks wheels straight for linear track lines), and Steer Mode (locks rear wheels for pivoting).

  • Adjustable Cable Guards: Height-adjustable metal guards ride just above the floor surface to push heavy studio power and video cables out of the way, avoiding abrupt rolling bumps mid-shot.

System Technical Specifications Matrix:

System Operational Height Range 91.5 cm to 173.0 cm / 36.0" to 68.0"
Total Column Stroke Adjustment 81.0 cm / 31.9" (Upper pneumatic: 41.5cm | Lower gas-assist: 39.5cm)
Maximum Operating Air Pressure 0.93 MPa / 9.3 bar / 134.9 psi
Included Control Handles 2x Libec PH-15B Telescoping Pan Bars

Critical Studio Operating Safety Rule:

⚠️ The Pressurization Setup Rule: Always lock the upper column mechanical safety brake and engage the head's physical Center Tilt Lock steel pin before mounting or stripping components from the camera package. Furthermore, never add high-pressure air to the P1000 column using the included manual air pump unless the camera package is completely mounted and locked down. Pressurizing an empty or under-loaded pedestal will cause the upper column to shoot upward with extreme kinetic speed, presenting a severe risk of equipment damage or personal injury.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger
