The Bakkers led a life of conspicuous consumption perfectly aligned with the prosperity gospel they preached. They bought vacation homes, traveled first-class with an entourage and proclaimed that God wanted everyone to be healthy and wealthy. When it all fell apart, after revelations of a sex scandal and massive financial mismanagement, all of America watched more than two years of federal investigation and trial as Jim was eventually convicted on 24 counts of fraud and conspiracy. He would go on to serve five years in federal prison. PTL is more than just the spectacular story of the rise and fall of the Bakkers, John Wigger traces their lives from humble beginnings to wealth, fame, and eventual disgrace. I Smell Like a Gentleman Who Owns a Fireplace
Scent: Bourbon Oak, Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
The fragrance is warm, woody, and slightly sweet...that low amber note that smells expensive without trying to smell expensive, which, as we all know, is the actual expensive smell. My wife walked past me twenty minutes post-shower and said, unprompted, "You smell really good." I nodded like I had planned this.
The lather is genuinely rich; squeeze a modest amount and it blooms into a thick, creamy foam that covers everything efficiently. The texture is silky rather than watery, which matters more than people admit. Watery body washes feel like rinsing off with slightly scented regret. This one feels intentional. It cleans, and your skin actually feels clean afterward, not just rinsed. And the moisturizing? I wasn't expecting it. No greasy film, no lotion-begging dry patches by midday. Just quietly softer skin that doesn't make a big announcement about it.
Now, my honest gripe: the scent longevity has a ceiling. By mid-afternoon you're back to neutral. That's the gap between four stars and five for me. For daily freshness and an incredible morning window of smelling genuinely great, it absolutely delivers...but it won't carry you to bedtime.
On value: 16 fl oz is decent, the lather is efficient so the bottle lasts, and the price sits in that sweet spot where you feel like someone who makes slightly elevated but still reasonable choices, which is exactly the vibe this entire product is going for.

Lathers great for a small amount! A fair price for the amount and rich content. I just bought, used and love it. Definitely will purchase again. I love the sophisticated yet sensible smell doesn't overpower. In my perception it is a unisex scent as I am a woman and bought for myself.

Smells Like You Have Your Life Together

Cremo Body Wash with Italian Bergamot, Neroli Blossom, and Fresh Vetiver smells far more expensive than it has any right to. The scent hits that sweet spot between fresh and refined. The bergamot gives it a clean citrus lift, the neroli adds a smooth floral edge, and the vetiver grounds it with a subtle, masculine depth that does not scream but absolutely speaks.
The lather is rich and concentrated, so you only need a small amount. It feels more like something you would find in a boutique hotel than on a regular store shelf. The fragrance lingers just enough to be noticed without overpowering your cologne or filling the entire room.
