The easy35 v1 35mm Half-Frame holder allows you to scan half-frame photography on standard 35mm film, which typically has a frame size of approximately 17×24mm. The holder fits into the easy35 v1 system just like any other compatible holder – by sliding out the existing holder and sliding in this new one.

The gate dimensions are allowing you to see the whole frame. Due to the small size of the frame, we cannot guarantee that the whole frame will be seen but have designed the holder to show the largest amount of the frame possible while retaining good flatness and stability.

In use

VALOI easy35 v1 holders work by passing the film through a thin slit passing through the whole holder and out on the other side. This way, you can conveniently push or pull the film through all the way, saving you time and effort compared to a traditional clam shell holder.

All VALOI holders employ a double-S curve design, where the slit that the film is passed through curves before and after the scanning gate. By bending the film slightly in one direction on both sides of the film, greater flatness is achieved than would be possible with a straight slit.

Compatibility

It is only compatible with easy35 v1 units. The holder is conveniently replaced by releasing a single screw screw and pushing the original holder out, and the new one in.

This holder is not compatible with the VALOI 360 system, easy120 system, or easy35 v2.
