The gold boot badge is another fine detail, placed just above the number plate and below the covered spare wheel on the top of the boot.

Designed by Virgil Exner and Elwood Engel, the 2-door hardtop was one of several variants. Sporting a V8 engine and with three speed gearbox, the width of the 1959 model was 81 inches and had a height of 56.9 inches. The key words during the late 1950s and early 1960s were longer, wider and lower. This model certainly plays that one out.
