The Allen-Bradley 1791-24BR is a block I/O module. This relay output module can support 24 input modules, with 3 groups of 8 inputs. Its on-state voltage range is from 10-30 Volts DC and off-state voltage is a maximum of 5 Volts DC. The on-state current is a minimum of 2.5 milliamps at 10 Volts DC and a maximum of 11 milliamps at 30 Volts DC and off-state current is a minimum of 1.5 Amps. The external power of this module is 19.2-30 Volts DC for the voltage and 300 milliamps for the current. The maximum power dissipation is 14.5 Watts and the maximum thermal dissipation is 49.4 BTU/hour. It has an isolation of 500 Volts AC for the power supply to remote I/O, I/O group-to-group, and I/O group-to-logic. The module has an operating temperature of 0-60 degrees Celsius, a storage temperature of 40-85 degrees Celsius, and a non-condensing relative humidity of 5-95%.

The entire 1791-24BR module measures 6.95 x 4.35 x 3.85 inches. These modules are small and self-sustained remote I/O devices, having their own input/output connections, programmable controller interface, signal conditioning circuitry, and power supplies. Compatible controllers are PLC-2, PLC-3, PLC-5/250 and PLC-5 family programmable controllers and SLC 5/02 modular controllers. Its status indicators allow you to monitor communication and input/output states. Terminal strips on the left and right sides are for remote I/O link, input/output connections, and power. The module's two switch assemblies let you configure the I/O rack number, communication rate, starting I/O group, last state, and the last chassis.

Well done!
Format: Kindle
Young, bloodied, sleep deprived and starving, not to mention being surrounded by an army of hungry sharks! It seems almost unimaginable that a sixteen-year-old could experience such a harrowing ordeal and live to tell about it. The story of young Josh, a baseball loving kid from San Antonio, Texas, who forges his mothers signature in order to join the Navy, takes place in 1945 near the end of WWII aboard the USS Indianapolis. After being struck by a Japanese torpedo, the mighty Naval ship sinks, thrusting the survivors into an unforgiving ocean for five harrowing days. The story is fast-paced with lots of action without being overly graphic and is the perfect for middle-schoolers with a penchant for excitement! There's also a great friendship angle which was really great to see especially since the boy Josh befriends (Lee) is of Japanese decent. At the time Josh bears a lot of resentment towards the Japanese since his father was killed when the Japanese bombed Pear Harbor so I think this offers an excellent 'teaching moment' for kids today. The book is chock-full of numerous interesting facts about the USS Indianapolis which I hadn't known before reading the book. Of note, it states that the sinking of the USS Indianapolis resulted in the largest number of shark attacks on humans in history, which I think is a little known and very interesting fact! Well done!
