Designed for Fit, Built for Performance

The Eclipse boot is designed to solve one of the biggest challenges skaters face: finding a boot that fits well right out of the box. At the core of this new model is a completely re-engineered last that better matches the shape of a real foot. That means less pressure on the sides of your foot, better support under the arch, and a snug, secure fit around the heel and ankle.

Skaters who’ve tested the Eclipse often say the same thing: it feels like a custom boot from the first time you put it on.

Key Product Points

  • Anatomical fit with an all-new last that feels custom right out of the box
  • Lightweight construction with premium materials for performance and comfort
  • Redesigned narrow cuff for a secure ankle fit and improved control
  • Modern sizing system with 5mm increments for better fit and online shopping
  • Available in black, white, or holographic for sleek, standout style

Lightweight, Streamlined, and Fast

The Eclipse weights less than the Jet, thanks in part to a more rigid resin system and reduced thermoplastic. By trimming excess material while maintaining a strong carbon base, we’ve created a boot that stays responsive under pressure but won’t weigh you down over long distances.

While it’s less heat moldable than the Jet, it still offers a solid degree of custom fitting. Just not as soft or forgiving during the mold as the Jet. The benefit? It holds its shape longer and offers better energy transfer.

Improved Cuff Fit

One of the key changes from the Jet to the Eclipse is the redesigned cuff. On the Jet, some skaters found that the cuff was too wide, creating a gap around the ankle. The Eclipse addresses this with a narrower, more sculpted shape that wraps securely around your ankle bone, enhancing both comfort and control when cornering and sprinting.

A Smarter, Simpler Sizing System

The Jet used Bont’s original sizing, developed more than 50 years ago. It worked, but it wasn’t ideal for modern shopping, especially online. The Eclipse introduces a completely updated sizing system that aligns more closely with athletic shoe sizes.

Sizes now increase in consistent 5mm increments, which makes for a more precise and predictable fit. This also means more sizing options will be available to help you dial in the right boot size, especially if you're in between standard sizes.

Streamlined Color Options, Faster Delivery

With the Eclipse, we’ve narrowed the color choices to just three: black, white, and holographic. This change helps us stock more boots at the factory, making it easier and faster to ship out your order. It also reflects a more modern aesthetic, clean, bold, and high-performance.

Each colorway was carefully chosen to complement the lines of the boot, giving it a sleek, aggressive look that matches its race-ready performance.

Who Is the Eclipse For?

The Eclipse is ideal for skaters who are entering the sport with serious intent, as well as competitive-level skaters who want a high-performance boot without going all the way to a fully custom build. It’s for skaters who want:

  • A great fit from day one
  • Lightweight performance and high responsiveness
  • A clean, modern design that looks and feels fast
  • A better sizing experience for easier shopping

Whether you’re moving up from your first skate or looking for a lighter, better-fitting upgrade from your current boots, the Eclipse delivers elite performance at an accessible price point.

The Bont Difference

Bont has been building high-performance skate boots since 1975. Every model we create starts with a focus on foot shape and fit, because comfort and control start at the foundation. With the Eclipse, we’ve applied everything we’ve learned from decades of bootmaking and feedback from thousands of skaters worldwide.

This isn’t just a new model. It’s the next step in the evolution of how a speed skating boot should fit, perform, and look.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is the Eclipse more or less heat moldable than the Jet?
A: The Eclipse is still heat moldable, but less so than the Jet. It uses a stiffer resin system and doesn’t include thermoplastic in the heel. This results in a lighter boot that holds its shape longer.

Q: What mounting does the Eclipse use?
A: The Eclipse uses the standard 195mm inline speed skate mount, making it compatible with most modern frames.

Q: How do I choose the right size in the new system?
A: The new Eclipse sizing follows consistent 5mm jumps, similar to athletic shoe sizing. We recommend using our updated sizing chart and measuring your foot length to find the best fit.

It’s pretty cringe story, but great if you just want to erotica. I Wish there was more at the end.

Wow.. you’re at a photo shoot in the jungle and suddenly you’re being attacked by natives making a daring escape, jump in a waterfall, float down a raging river to the ocean. Find yourselves stranded on an island for 3 months Helen and Lana fell in love. This was a captivating story, well told, Helen and Lana anguish felt real.

    Loved this story
    Format: Kindle
This is hands down one of the best books I've read. The plot was great, the characters were sexy, intense and just explosive. I did not stop reading until I finished the book. Was hoping for a better ending since it was such a wonderful book. When I saw it was reprinted I figured that was why due to the ending being rushed. I'm still giving 5 stats due to their chemistry and the intense love they shared on and off the island beyond their rescue. I just wanted more for them at the end, and the the loser husband to get what he deserved.I look forward to maybe a second book on their passionate love story.

I decided to read this based on another review here. I started skipping and couldn't finish it. The writing is good but the behavior of the MCs put me off at times. Our parents took us camping (not car camping) a lot through my teens and the lesson was, from my youngest age, if the excrement encounters the turbine, get your bearings, assess, make a plan, follow it -- no time for drama. There would always be time for a freakout once the situation was resolved. (And if it wasn't resolved, freaking out wouldn't be an option.) Apparently, neither Helen nor Lana were ever taught that lesson because there's plenty of drama, and I lost respect for them. Worse, the drama continues with this endless back and forth right up to the very last page. I actually blinked. I've read rushed endings before, but this took the cake. Overall, this is a portrayal of women that bugged me. It felt almost stereotype-y regarding being overly dramatic and unable to keep it together under stress. Maybe I just hit the bad parts, but I couldn't keep reading to find out, in case there were more, and the repeated drama after the rescue didn't give me hope. Please, Sapphic authors, can we have more books celebrating feminine resilience? Cara Malone has a pretty good one about a bunch of shipwrecked queer women. We need more of that, and less of this. I'm giving this book 3 stars because the writing is good and I didn't finish, so may have missed better parts.
