This calcite specimen from Santa Eulalia is coated with well-formed colorless calcite druzy, with fine red-tinted hematite inclusions inside. This gives the crystals a brick-red tint softened by the glittery clear surface.
This specimen is a thin crust of ferrous (iron-based) matrix with dusty red oxidation on the back. The front is completely covered in calcite druzy, with some folds and pockets on the surface lined with druzy.
