Description:
The DC2-HDG6 kit by ACT features their popular Heavy Duty pressure plate paired with a sprung 6-pad race disc, designed for high-performance street or race use. The Heavy Duty pressure plate utilizes an exclusive diaphragm design to enhance clamp load, reduce deflection, and maximize clutch life. Each diaphragm undergoes a four-stage heat-treating process to ensure unparalleled performance. Precision cover stampings provide rigidity and consistency for reliable operation. The 6-pad, spring-centered race disc is engineered to properly damp torsional vibrations and resist failure under harsh conditions. ACT spring retainers with wraparound spring windows and thicker retainer stampings provide enhanced spring support, reduce stress concentrations, and increase strength and reliability. While engagement with the 6-pad, spring-centered disc may be harsher, shifting is faster, making it suitable for larger clutch sizes to absorb more heat.
