It is proud and celebratory, yet foreshadows the uncertainty that lay ahead. GERANOS DANCE: A tune custom-made for Greek folk dancing, with communal spirit and an upbeat, optimistic outlook. There is constant implied motion that grows more and more hectic as the dancers, all holding hands in a circle, would weave together and tie themselves into knots.
