The Melody Lane series of books, geared toward young females, was written by veteran author Lilian Garis. The series comprised nine books, spanning from 1933 to 1940. The first six books in the series originally had cover illustrations by Pelagie Doane, but were later all re-illustrated by Ruth King. The final volume's artwork returned to Doane, although it was done in a style arguably more similar to King's illustrations. Interior artwork was by Doane as well. Terror at Moaning Cliff is number five in the series. The main strength of the Melody Lane series is the emphasis on the Great Depression and how it affects Carol Duncan and her other acquaintances. Carol and Cecy are invited by their Aunt Isabel to stay at her property, Rocky Cliff. Aunt Isabel has inherited the property but in order to legally claim it she must either rent it or live there herself. Aunt Isabel has already tried renting the property, but none of the tenants will stay there for any length of time. Mysterious events have occurred which have frightened the tenants away. Aunt Isabel does not know what exactly is frightening the tenants, so she asks Carol and Cecy to stay at Rocky Cliff so that they can find out. Carol, Cecy, and Thally travel to Rocky Cliff to stay at the house. Once the girls arrive, they try to find out more from the caretaker, Emil Jenson, but he does not know why the tenants left, or he refuses to say. During their first night in the house, Carol and Rachel, the housekeeper, hear a strange moaning sound. During another night, the girls hear howling dogs in the cellar. They investigate but are unable to discover the source of the strange sounds. Emil Jenson remains under suspicion as the girls continue to search the house for clues.

Squeaker inside toy breaks after 2 days
Size: Mini, Color: Gator (Pink)
Bought for my 8 lb chihuahua for Christmas. I have 3 little girls. The youngest loves her toys and of course she took this one over immediately. She just loved everything about it. The material on the gator is amazingly durable and I believe would hold up for a good while. The squeaker inside the toy however, broke after 2 days of my girl playing with it. It's now a noiseless toy that she does not like too much as it does not squeak because it only had the one squeaker in it. I would recommend that 2 squeakers be inserted into this gator. I would not purchase again due to the longevity of the squeaker...only lasted 2 days.

Go dog toys are the best!
Size: Large, Color: Dinos Frills (Pink)
These are the only stuffed toys I buy for my Pittie because they are so well made. Even when she unstuffs them, she plays with them forever!

My dog loves these toys.
Size: Mini, Color: Gator (Pink)
Not a huge toy, nor is my dog. But we have lots of goDog toys. Practically indestructible and my dog likes to carry these in his mouth and bring them onto the foot of our bed. Brilliant colors and good squeaker but my dog is afraid of the squeak. Fair value for cost.

Size: Mini, Color: Gator (Pink)
Our XL dogs love this! Highly recommend them! Highly recommend. Not for aggressive chewers but our big dogs don't destroy their toys. They cherish them. Great for play and cuddling. Not to loud either. Very cute.

When they said strong...
...they weren't kidding. Our pup would chew through everything she could get her sharks teeth into. Like my arms. Nothing lasted as long as a week or maybe two. But she has had Dino for months now. She loves him. He is the go to toy for when she wants to play tug. The material used to make this toy is every bit as strong as the seller claims. I will definitely buy from them again. And I will not wait for this one to rip. I may be waiting a long time. If your pup likes to tear stuff apart, feel safe in buying this toy, UPDATE: 2/9/2023 Dino finally succumbed to the torture. His back ripped open and despite trying to repair him with ordinary thread he couldn't withstand the pressure, His stuffing was removed and spread all over the living room. Completely emptied he is still a good toy. Strong enough to withstand the forceful play of tug-o-war. Only thing I would suggest is to use something stronger when closing his back. The rest of him is great. I will be replacing him soon.
