Product Overview

Due to its unique structure and excellent performance (such as high thermal conductivity, high mechanical strength, etc.), carbon nanotube vertical array has a wide application prospects in thermal management, electrochemistry, electronic device heat dissipation and other fields. However, in order to fully realize its performance, it needs to be transferred from the growth substrate to the target substrate to meet the needs of different application scenarios. Transfer carbon nanotube vertical array is the process of transferring a vertical array of carbon nanotubes already grown on one substrate to another target substrate through a specific method and step. This transfer process enables its application and integration on different substrates while maintaining the structure and performance of carbon nanotube vertical arrays. At present, various methods to transfer carbon nanotubes from the growth substrate to the target substrate have been developed, such as wet chemical etching, medium-assisted transfer, gas phase weak etching, dry contact transfer, etc.

Application Fields

1) Electrode material: Carbon nanotube arrays are often used as electrode materials, especially in lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors, due to their excellent conductivity and high specific surface area. These applications fully utilize the energy storage performance of carbon nanotube arrays, improving the performance of batteries and capacitors.

2) Electronic devices: Array carbon nanotubes can be used as electron sources for various electron guns, such as cold cathode X-ray tubes and field emission scanning microscopes, due to their low threshold voltage, high emission current, and good stability.

3) Thermal interface material: Carbon nanotube arrays have good thermal conductivity in the axial direction, but poor thermal conductivity in the direction perpendicular to the axis. This characteristic makes it an ideal thermal interface material, which can be used for heat dissipation of electronic components, improving the stability and lifespan of equipment.
