We picture the Victorian era as a conservative, socially ordered society- the glittering nobility on top; mindless thugs on the bottom; a new, morally staid middleclass in between. This makes the bizarre crime spree in London all the more an oddity. The killings were not those of a brutal gutter thug. They were skillfully executed to be public mysteries. Prostitutes were found on the streets, their bodies flayed for the first passers-by, which was often only minutes later. The culprit was never known. He faded into history as only a moniker: Jack the Ripper. But what was his purpose? Was he just a madman? For over a century theorists have glossed over the cases in order to support their own suspect. The result is a convoluted legend devoid of facts. For example, the lack of blood at one crime scene is explained away as having soaked into the clothes- a physical impossibility in the short interim between the victim having been slain and the police finding the warm body. Not even a heavy rain can soak under a prone body in a mere 10 minutes let alone pints of a thick fluid like blood. This is only one example of evidence that requires a re-thinking of the actual crime spree of Jack the Ripper. The actual cases, critically presented in meticulous detail and taken collectively, is the only way to reopen the case of Jack the Ripper and start anew. In this painstaking chronicle, the crimes and seasons of Jack the Ripper are vividly recreated. The purpose is to plunge the reader back into Whitechapel 1888. For those who want a companion of facts by which to judge all the theories and suspects that have and no doubt will continue to be proposed, Scarlet Autumn is that source. It is a detective work and an historical expose of the most puzzling crime spree in history. Gian J. Quasar has achieved public acclaim for living a real X-Files life. He has also been called the real life Kolchak. Instead of pursuing the world of the unknown, unseen, mysterious and macabre with the extemporanea of popular journalism, he has applied the keen surgical tools used in History, coining the term "investigative historian." Yet his writings are not those of the academician. They are the result of a serious investigator out to find the truth behind the world's unsolved mysteries and historical riddles. One of his books, They Flew into Oblivion, inspired a Congressional Resolution. He has been the guest on hundreds of radio shows and the subject of over 30 documentaries on the History Channel, Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, NBC, SCI-FI, Fox, TLC, BBC, National Geographic Explorer, and many others. He is a native of California and still resides there.Binding Type: Paperback

One month later - Pros & Cons
Size: 10 Little Kid, Color: Cobalt Blue, Size: 10 Little Kid, Color: Cobalt Blue
I purchased these shoes for my three year old son who is really hard on his shoes. I wanted shoes that were a good price value and that my son could put on and take off by himself, run around in, and that would stand up to 3 year old kid abuse. These shoes fit the bill, and for the price I would recommend them and I would buy them again, but they'd be even better if they were even more reinforced around the toes.

PROS:
* Price - these are a well made, good looking shoe for a very fair price.
* Easy for my son to put on and take off, but do not fall off. Velcro is holding up well so far.
* The velcro tab that holds them on is big, so there's plenty of room for error in putting them on, and there's plenty of velcro to ensure a good hold.
* Nice looking - my son likes them which is a big deal when you're three.
* Stand up well to rough and tumble play
* Lightweight
* Good grip on the soles of the shoes.
* Fit is as expected, no discomfort, he wears them all day long without complaint.
CONS:
* As with all kids shoes, the toe area could be even more reinforced although he's worn them every day for a month and, as you can see in the pictures, they're not showing much wear.
* VERY lightweight - so if you're looking for a heavier, more protective shoe for any reason, this is not the pair for you.
Overall I'd highly recommend these shoes, and would purchase them again.

Easy 2-Velcro closure
Bought the first pair at Kohls, was a favorite easy velcro closure for our 2.5 yr old Grandaughter. Wanted pink and Amazon had these. Perfect fit one half size up. They run a little narrow and smaller but are lightweight and easy for a toddler to put their own shoes on! Her favorite.

run small.
Size: 7.5 Little Kid, Color: Peri
I was a fool and didn't size up, our daughter was only able to sue them for a minute. Should have sized up 2 sizes, I know better. A bit chunky too which I forgot about with these shoes, but fun color and easy to put on.

Stylish and comfortable
Great for my toddler, very easy for him to walk in. They’re sturdy but lightweight and have good traction so he doesn’t slip. He does have really fat feet so the Velcro is a little tight if you’re between sizes with a fat foot toddler size up
