Miscanthus sinensis 'M77' ~ Scout™ Maiden GrassScout Maiden Grass is a fast growing variegated ornamental grass with narrow light green foliage and a fine white mid ridge that turns straw beige by winter. Airy tassel like creamy pink plumes bloom above the foliage in late summer and mature to brownish red in fall and persist into winter. Best color in full sun and moist well drained soil. Scout Maiden Grass is a fast growing variegated ornamental grass with narrow light green foliage and a fine white mid-ridge that turns straw-beige by winter.  Airy tassel-like creamy pink plumes bloom above the foliage in late summer and mature to brownish-red in fall and persist into winter. Best color in full sun and moist well-drained soil.  The flowers are non-fertile so it does not spread.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Low maintenance plant.  Mealybug, blight, and rust are occasional problems. Cut foliage to ground in late winter before new foliage emerges.
