Overview
Brasshards 40mm 1½” 4CPC040 water copper press straight coupling DN40 crimp socket union is compatible with all popular press tools and their copper press systems such as Viega, Connex Banninger B Press and Kembla Kempress. This listing is for a single Brasshards copper straight coupling fitting.
The Brasshards copper straight coupling features a lip at either end of the fitting. The lips help align the actual press areas along the copper pipes and provide extra sealing material when pressed. The black sealing ring is made of EPDM O-ring for potable water applications with a temperature range of -20 - 95 °C and a maximum pressure rating of 1600 kPa.
With all Brasshards copper press straight couplings, there is an inbuilt stopper at the center of the fitting to help stop the copper pipe sliding through. This feature prevents the copper pipe going too deep at one end of the coupling and ensures sufficient copper pipe length can be inserted at the other end of the coupling. This design is in contrast to a slip repair servicing coupling, which has no stopper and can slide over a copper pipe.
The Brasshards copper press fittings have a slug fit over the copper pipes and will remain in place until the press tool is applied, allowing easy installations and adjustments. Once pressed and secured by the correct press tool, the fitting will not dent or deform the internal copper to ensure unhindered water flow. These features have made the Brasshards copper press systems a faster and safer connections to conventional compression or capillary systems. Brasshards offers 25 years warranty on the copper press fittings.
The CuPress fittings feature a V profile press connection and leak detection O-ring design, which provides a visual indicator if the fitting has not been correctly pressed.
