Limited six 180gm vinyl LP box set from the alt-rock band includes their albums Nothing's Shocking (1LP) and Ritual de lo Habitual (2LP) plus vinyl debuts of Live From The Palladium (1990) (2LP) and Selections from Kettle Whistle (demos and rarities) (1LP). The band has had a hand in the box set's creative direction, selecting Ernesto Yerena to produce the striking box set cover art. Long before Lollapalooza became a household word and alternative rock took over MTV in the '90s, there was Jane's Addiction's eclectic mix of psychedelia, performance art, heavy metal and boundary-expanding experimentation. This box set, celebrating the 25th anniversary of Lollapalooza (originally intended as the band's farewell tour in 1991), brings those now classics of alt-rock back to 180-gram vinyl while the rest of the set debuts a wealth of the band's material on wax that was previously only available on CD.

I've read the autobiography of Mahatma Gandhi and have learnt a lot about him growing up in India. In spite of all my knowledge on him, I find this book an interesting read for it provides an insight into his personal advancement from a struggling lawyer to the Father of a Nation. It was inspiring to learn how he overcame each shortcoming and tried to live his life with honesty, integrity and transparency until his death. My only complaint with the book is that it is a bit short. It was a quick read. But, the content was good.

This is a beautiful book that tells Ghandi's story through wonderful photographs and a simple and elucidating text. Ghandi appears os a struggling human being who changes himself through hard work. It really is a story of transformation, and it's very well told here. I liked it so well, I used it as part of our study on world revolutions when I was teaching ninth grade last year, and the students also liked it very much.
