"Back in stock! Fans are crying tears of joy!"

In 2019, a series of outtake recordings from Chinese Democracy—commonly referred to as "The Village Sessions"—leaked from the locker of Geffen Records A&R executive Tom Zutaut, causing such a stir that it even made mainstream news. Now, a long-awaited 2CD pressed digest edition is finally here, featuring carefully selected best takes and alternate versions from the nearly eight-hour studio session archive.

Following the leak, the band quickly reacquired the recordings, making them inaccessible to all but a few hardcore collectors. As a result, the previously released The Village Sessions Vol. 1 (3CDR) and Vol. 2 (4CDR) sold out immediately and became nearly impossible to find. Those earlier volumes contained the entire raw studio sessions as they were found, with varying sound levels and uneven mixing, appealing mainly to collectors interested in the archival value.

In contrast, this new 2CD release focuses on listenability, compiling the best takes and versions with consistent audio mastering throughout. It’s a release designed not only for die-hard fans but for a broader audience looking to enjoy these sessions in high quality.

Disc 1 features demos and rough mixes from the Chinese Democracy album, along with songs like “Perhaps” and “Hard Skool” that were released as singles following the return of Slash and Duff. Disc 2 includes previously unreleased tracks, as well as rare rehearsal recordings of “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” and “Welcome to the Jungle” performed by the lineup at the time.

The cover illustration is also of note—originally intended for the Chinese Democracy album but reportedly rejected due to political concerns. Combined with thoughtful design and curation, this release stands as the definitive edition of the Chinese Democracy sessions, finally seeing the light of day.

Quality watch at a reasonable price
Color: Black/Red
Velcro-closure on the tough fabric band is comfortable and very secure. This beautiful sports watch allows for 12 or 24-hour timekeeping, and is easy to set. Wearers can program 2 entirety different times using the "Time1" and "Time 2" settings, very useful for travel.

Good Watch; Bad Strap
Color: Blue/Black
The watch is like many other I've worn, Timex included, and has all the features I want in a standard watch. I like the colors which are very similar to my last Timex which I've had to abandon due to failure of the wrist band after many years of daily use and the dearth of stores which replace straps. The watch itself is reliable and works well, but I do not like the velcro strap. I have very small wrists and searched a lot before deciding on this watch with an adjustable strap unhindered by the placement of buckle and holes. However, the strap is still too big to fit me well and it is tedious to align both sides of the velcro. Also, the velcro will catch my sleeves or other parts of my clothing every now and then and is avoidable only through meticulous placment of the two sides of velcro. I myself can't replace a strap with a better one because I don't know how, but if you can and have large enough wrists, then this may be the watch for you. If the manufacture or anyone else knows where one can purchase a small wrist band where the sellers will remove the one that I now have with a new, better fitting one, I wish there were a way that you could tell me. I do wish the watch were flatter because my sleeves are hard to move back and forth over it and it's also in the way of typing on my computer as well as tucking sheets in between mattress and headboard. (I can't rate the light because I haven't yet looked for the switch, and its water resistance I can't comment upon because I have not and will not subject the watch to water.)

Good Sport Watch
Color: Blue/Black
This is a good sport watch. I wear these to work in all sorts of conditions...and they take a beating. I have to get the unisex watches/bands as I have thick wrists for a woman and women's watchbands generally don't fit me. I can't wear the metal watch bands because when I flex my wrist they break. I can't wear the leather bands because when I sweat the band just deteriorates and falls apart. These woven bands are just perfect. I also like that it is velcro. That way you can adjust it perfectly to your wrist. I have worn these watches for nearly 15 years. It has two time functions - so that you can have regular time and maybe the time in another country. It has a split lap stop watch so that you can time each lap as well as your full run. Time, date, alarm, and hour beep if you so desire. It also has a back light which is really handy to tell time in the dark. Only problem with that is at about the year mark, the battery is so low that the light will come on, but the numbers disappear. But, well, it is what it is. Some reviewers have complained that the band is rather small fitting around the wrist. I am a woman and I bought a womans Timex once. The band was EXTREMELY small and barely fit me at all. It would come off a lot of the time because there was barely any velcro to wrap around. This watch is probably more of a unisex watch. Not a woman's per se, but not a big man's watch either. It is about in the middle. I have a 7.5" wrist and that is about as large of a wrist that this watch will fit. The women's watch that I had previously had would only fit a 7" wrist.

Great no frills watch, love it.
Color: Blue/Black
This watch is a really nice and is perfect for me. It tells the time (duh!), the date and has a stopwatch feature I never use. Mostly I like that it is a no frills product, but it does its job. This is great for people that actually want something that tells the time and not some fancy gold bracelet to impress the ladies. Although I spend most of my time in front of a computer, I imagine this piece would be great for someone with an active lifestyle (biking, running, etc.). The watch itself is mostly plastic and watch-proof and the band is a fabric velcro. For a while I had the older model with a rubber strap and I like this new model much better. The strap is comfortable and easy to take on and off. I wish the strap was a little bigger though, it might be too small for someone with really fat arms. It does have an indiglo feature although I had the older model and the indiglo died after like 6 months. Hopefully this one will last. What can I say, its a watch. If you are looking for something simple with a classic design, look no further.

Everything I expected.
Color: Black/Red
Not the watch I would want as an adult but fits my son perfectly. It’s durable, red and makes him happy. It should last him until he is old enough to get a job and make his own style and life choices.
