Vinyl LP pressing. Honey Pie Records present a reissue of Philly Joe Jones Sextet's Blues For Dracula, originally released in 1958. Blues For Dracula is the debut album by American jazz drummer Philly Joe Jones which was recorded in 1958 for the Riverside label. A former child tap dancer, Philly Joe Jones was destined to become something of a percussionist. As it was, he became world renowned as the drummer of Miles Davis first great quintet, serving as the rhythm and time keeper of that great outfit between 1955 and 1958. He left for a solo career in 1958. His debut became an instant classic thanks to the title track (written by Johnny Griffin) and the similarly themed cover. The song packs plenty of hard-charging swing and blues-drenched improvisation from cornetist Nat Adderley, trombonist Julian Priester, saxophonist Johnny Griffin, pianist Tommy Flanagan, and bassist Jimmy Garrison. But it's also a cheeky take on the horror-film craze of the 1950s, complete with a Bela Lugosi impersonator who intones with a thick Transylvanian accent, "I'm the Bebop Vampire. I like the song the song to shine!" Thereafter, Philly Joe both led his own groups (he would record a further twelve albums up to 1982) as well as performing as a sideman for a wide variety of musicians including Bill Evans and Hank Mobley.

The best freetoes socks ever
Color: Black, Grey
Love this toeless socks so much! I could wear it all day. Very comfortable! It is just the right thickness which is suitable in summer time or cold weather as well. Most of the toeless socks I have seen have the gel on the heel area and I don't like the feel of it. I'd rather apply lotion on my heel then wear the socks. I have had some issues with the packaging from Amazon and I made the maker of this said socks aware of it. Julia Bebben was very prompt in her response and very helpful. Thank you Julia for your excellent customer service.

great concept, just one tiny annoyance...
Color: Black, Grey
i love that a sock that lets your toes be free is even a thing that exists. i love that this company was started by a young girl, now turned young businesswoman. i have pain in my big toes, so i can't wear close toed anything, but feet get stinky if you wear shoes/slippers all the time without socks. this is a great solution. the only thing i find slightly annoying (not enough to stop using these) is the seam on the bottom of your foot, near the base of the toes. it is a straight line, which is fine on the top of the foot, but i wish the bottom itself curved a bit, to follow the line of the toes. as it is, the seam lands right in the middle if the ball of my feet, so i can feel the seams everytime i take a step. i am constantly pulling the seam toward the toes, to try to keep from feeling it, but then my pinky toe gets caught and balled up on the inside. outside of that slight annoyance, they're comfortable and fit well.

Good fit
Color: Black and Gray Argyle
I wear a size 9 shoe and these fit well. They are a little snug, but not too tight.

A little expensive but really come in handy!
Color: Black, Grey
So far I am really happy with these socks. I broke my big toe and had to have my toenail removed and am wearing a post-op shoe/boot. I wanted to wear a sock underneath so that my foot wouldn't get too sweaty but my toe is still too tender for regular socks and cutting the toes off of regular socks doesn't work because they won't stay put. These work great- I actually pull them up over my little toes and just leave my first couple of toes exposed. I really like that you can wear these on either foot (unlike some open toed socks that have openings for the big toe and the rest of your toes so they are designated for left and right foot) since I'm only using them on my right foot.

Excellent idea, could be better executed
I love the idea, but my problem with this product is that the bottom of the socks are made too short. The socks tend to slouch up when you wear them for awhile, so the entire ball of your foot will be exposed at some point. I would like to find a pair that cover the ball of the foot as well. But the socks are well made and attractive.
