I have been dreaming of doing a floral series!  Using a silkscreen technique, each of these mono prints resembles a painting.  What I love about it are the random oops and mistakes that can happen along the way that contribute to the perfect imperfections of each.

I was inspired to create dahlias when I was asked to participate in a group show for the Art House Project in London.  The theme was a Mexican inspired event, and I love the energy and colors and spirit of Mexico.  What better way to celebrate than to create a piece that’s a nod to the national flower of Mexico?  

One of a kind, hand painted on a silk screen, then printed on Fabriano 300GSM cold press paper.    I work out of a screen print studio in East London called The Print Club.  

I do my best to capture the true colors of this print, but please note that colors may appear differently on your screen.  

Due to the nature of printing, there may be slight ink spots in the borders.  These should not be considered flaws, but part of the hand created process.  

This print will look best with a custom mount.  This image has a slight spot of ink outside of the border on the bottom right that will easily be covered up with a mount.  

Image size:  32 cm x 52 cm (12” x 20.5”)

Paper size: 38” x 56” (15” x 22”)

small (off center) border on all sides.  This was one of my first prints!
