Buddhism Is Not What You Think: Finding Freedom Beyond BeliefsBestselling author and renowned Zen teacher Steve Hagen examines the most essential and enduring questions at the heart of Buddhism: How can we see the world as it really is, rather than through the veil of our own hopes and fears? Bestselling author and renowned Zen teacher Steve Hagen examines the most essential and enduring questions at the heart of Buddhism: How can we see the world as it really is, rather than through the veil of our own hopes and fears? How can we base our actions on reality, rather than on the longing and loathing of our hearts and minds? How can we live lives that are wise, compassionate, and in tune with reality? And how can we separate the wisdom of Buddhism from the cultural trappings and misconceptions that have come to be associated with it?

Drawing on examples from everyday life as well as stories from Buddhist teachers past and present, Hagen tackles these fundamental inquiries with his trademark straightforward prose. The newcomer to Buddhism will be inspired by this accessible and informative introduction, and those more familiar with it will welcome this much needed hands-on guide to understanding what it truly means to be awake. Buddhism is Not What You Think offers a clear and profound path to a life of joy and freedom.

Steve Hagen has studied Buddhism for more than thirty years. He spent fifteen years studying with Dainin Katagiri Roshi, from whom he received Dharma transmission (endorsement to teach). He is a Zen priest and head teacher at Dharma Field Zen Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is also the author of the international bestseller Buddhism Plain and Simple.

"This is not just another nice book about Buddhism, one telling us what we like to hear and are used to hearing. No -- it is a clear and challenging showing of the fundamental truth of our lives. This is an exceptional book. Make good use of it."

Good mount for iPhone in Tesla
Size: Upgrade - For Model Y Juniper/Model Y/Model 3
Easy to use mount. Helped provide additional visibility while driving. Sticks really really strong to the surface. Also have an option of ac vent mount instead of sticking it on dash or back of screen. Strong durable material not plastic.

Versatile quality product.

The beauty of this phone holder in my Tesla Y is that it can be moved from corner to corner based on needs without worry of sticky glue issues… current setting is lower right corner and happy with things so far. Will absolutely update if my feelings change but so far I’m stoked with the purchase. Also the discount didn’t hurt either $$

Almost perfect
Style: Screen+Charger
Solid mount. I’ve tried other ones but they don’t sit as nicely as this one. It also has a lot of adjustments to allow for using it any way you need it to so it is very versatile. The magnet strength is really good and holds my phone really well. Sometimes it feels too strong which I guess is a good thing. The charging works well but I wish the cable was a little longer

Almost Perfect But With Workaround it Rocks
Style: Dash+Screen+Qi2 Charger, Style: Dash+Screen+Qi2 Charger
This works almost perfectly in my Tesla, with one small tweak for hot summer conditions. It holds my phone very well overall—I position it slightly off-center at about the 10 o’clock position. However, with a larger phone like the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the combination of weight and summer heat can cause the mount to slowly rotate as the suction cup loses some grip. I found a simple fix that works extremely well: applying a small amount of rosin (the same kind used for violin bows) to the friction point where the rotating arm meets the suction base. That added grip completely solved the issue. Now the mount stays exactly where I position it, even in the heat. Solid product, and with that minor adjustment, it performs exactly how I need it to.
