William Morris registered this textile design in 1883, this design was originally intended for curtains or draped around walls or for loose covers on furniture, Morris based this design off of Thrushes in his back garden, of which frequently stole the strawberries in the Kitchen Garden of his countryside home. He first attempted to print this design in 1875, but only succeeded in 1881, when he moved his factory to Merton Abbey.

This item, along with our deckchairs, is now are made of beech wood, resulting in a lighter to carry, but just as sturdy item.
