The business has always maintained strong links with the textile industry and it endured the recession of the 1930's, through the war years to the 1950's, to a period when Lancashire cotton was "King". The present proprietors are proud of the fact that the business still remains a family concern since its humble beginnings with a horse and cart. The fleet of vehicles has grown over the years and goes from vans to 44 tonners, the majority of which are Scania powered, handling a variety of goods from car parts to plastics.
