Oren Ambarchi presents Live Knots, two live realizations of 'Knots,' the epic centerpiece of his 2012 album Audience of One (TO 083 CD/LP). Built on the interplay between Ambarchi's swirling guitar harmonics and the metronomic pulse and shifting accents of Joe Talia's DeJohnette-esque drumming, the piece merges the organic push and pull of free improvisation with an overarching compositional framework. 'Tokyo Knots' is the complete recording of a duo performance of the piece by Ambarchi and Talia recorded at Tokyo's legendary SuperDeluxe in March 2013. The performance builds gently on the foundation of Talia's insistent ride cymbal and the shifting tonal bed of Ambarchi's rich, overtone-drenched guitar, eventually going into a free rock free fall of buzz saw harmonics and crashing drums. From within the maelstrom, Talia picks up a pulsing motorik rhythm that leads the piece back to where it began, with the addition of the shuddering, elastic tones of a hand-played spring reverb unit. 'Krakow Knots' works with the same basic structure but stretches it out to nearly twice the length and adds strings played by the Sinfonietta Cracovia, led by Eyvind Kang on viola. The strings expand the piece's textural range with lush chordal blocks, uneasy dissonances, and occasional Ligeti-esque swarms of micro-activity, the swelling string tones intensifying the ecstatic nature of the piece as it moves toward it's mid-point crescendo in which Ambarchi unleashes a particularly malicious continuum of stuttering harmonic fuzz. The strings then enter with a series of swelling chords, announcing the piece's final movement, and reaffirming the uniqueness of the tonal and compositional language that Ambarchi has patiently developed over the last two decades, in which the influence of post-minimal composers such as Alvin Curran, Gavin Bryars, and David Behrman can be felt alongside the inspiration of raw free jazz, harsh noise, and academic psychoacoustics. The final moments of the performance pit Talia and Crys Cole's amplified objects and spring reverb textures against a field of gently gliding string glissandi before the audience erupts in much-deserved applause -Francis Plagne.

It does exactly what they say it does! Worth the money
Color: A1-Red
It arrived quickly. It’s a fun toy! It’s the right size for cats. Definitely worth the money. It is exactly as described. So far, the quality seems very good and it seems durable. The instructions are on the side of the box, which makes learning how to operate it easy. I love it that it’s red, because my kitty seems to be attracted to red. My kitty is very interested in it, yet isn’t quite sure what to think of it. I love that it changes directions on its own so that it doesn’t get stuck or lost under furniture, which is typical for a ball that cats play with. It seems to only go two, three or four feet in one direction and then it changes directions, which is both good and bad. I just wish it would go farther in one direction before changing directions so that my kitty could chase it farther, as we have plenty of space in our house for her to run. But that certainly could be a plus for other cats, enjoying not knowing where the ball is going to go next and really keep them on their toes.

Cat loves this
Color: A1-Red
This toy is great for keeping pets entertained. The ball moves quickly and the tail makes it even more fun for cats to chase. It’s rechargeable and easy to use, and my pet stayed interested much longer than with regular toys.

A Great Energy-Burner for High-Drive Pups!
As the owner of a high-energy dog, finding something that keeps them occupied for more than five minutes is usually a massive challenge. The LDZ&CHX Smart Interactive Dog Toy has been an absolute lifesaver for our daily routine.
What I Love About It:
True Boredom Buster: The moving and rolling action is erratic enough to mimic prey, which immediately hooks my dog’s attention. It does a fantastic job of keeping them busy and mentally engaged when I'm tied up with work.
Smart Design: The inner ball provides the movement, while the outer blue cage-style sleeve makes it incredibly easy for dogs to grab, carry, and chase without getting their jaws stuck.
Eco-Friendly & Wallet-Friendly: Thank goodness it's rechargeable. I am so tired of buying endless packs of AA batteries for moving pet toys, so being able to just plug this in is a massive plus.
Things to Keep in Mind:
The "Bite-Resistant" Sleeve: While the outer sleeve is durable, I wouldn't leave a notorious heavy chewer unsupervised with it for hours. It works beautifully as an interactive chase toy, but it shouldn't be treated as a pure, indestructible chew bone.

Great toy for dogs, cats, or even children!
I got this for my dog, but she was completely uninterested. (I'm sure there are tons of dogs who would love it, mine just happens to not.) But a friend came over with her toddler son, and he absolutely loves it, so I gave it to him. It's a pretty fun little ball and vibrates strongly enough to make itself roll around in random patterns on the floor. It also lights up as it does so, and looks pretty cool!
The build quality seems to be pretty good, the outer rubber cover is pretty durable. Though some dogs will probably make quick work of tearing it up, as it has a large opening for the ball to come out.
And the USB-C charging is a nice feature as well, but you have to remove the ball from it's sleeve and unscrew it to charge it.
As for value, I think it's not a bad deal overall, and would recommend it for small/medium dogs, cats or children! It's well worth the price for the amount of entertainment it will provide!
As always if I encounter any other issues or think of anything else to add I'll update this review!

Puppy-Approved Entertainment
Oh my gosh, my puppy absolutely loves this toy. Out of all the toys we’ve brought home recently, this one may have become her favorite.
She chases it around the room, pounces on it, carries it around, and then does the funniest thing—she’ll bring it back to her bed and just hold it in her mouth while it vibrates. I’m not sure if she’s soothing her teething gums or if she simply enjoys the sensation, but she seems completely fascinated by it.
It’s honestly pretty entertaining to watch. The unpredictable movement keeps her engaged much longer than many of her other toys, and it does a great job encouraging active play. For a puppy with endless energy, that’s a big win.
The outer sleeve has held up well so far, and I appreciate that the toy is rechargeable instead of constantly needing replacement batteries.
If you’re looking for a toy that can keep a curious puppy busy and provide some laughs for the humans watching, this one has been a hit in our house. It’s getting a lot more playtime than most of the toys in her basket.
