A 2nd pack for IK Multimedia's profiling software. This pack exclusively contains direct models, with my own choices for a matching IR. Of course, the benefit of amp only models is you can use any IR (or even Amplitube’s VIR module) to fine tune the tone to whatever you like.

The pack contains 13 captures from the pick of Marshall and Marshall style amps in my collection. Among the tones in the pack, you'll find clean tones from a 1988 Jubilee and Vintage Modern (itself derived from a JTM45), crunch tones from a 1977 JMP2203 and very rare 1978 JMP 2150, Plexi tones from a modded 1976 JMP Super Bass and 1959HW, and high gain "modded" tones from a Friedman BE100, DSL100H and VTM120.

You can find free examples on ToneNet - search for user “MirrorProfiles” to try them out! It’s not possible to load presets with an IR included, so these presets give you a huge advantage over the free examples online. Plus they’re curated into a bundle to save you digging around an ever growing list of varying consistency.

Amplifiers include:

  • 1977 Marshall JMP 2203
  • Marshall Vintage Modern 50W 2266
  • 1988 Marshall Jubilee 2554
  • 2016 Friedman BE100
  • Peavey VTM120
  • 1978 Marshall JMP2150
  • Marshall 1959HW 100W Plexi
  • Marshall DSL100H
  • 1976 Marshall JMP1992 Super Bass (modded to Adam Jones "1959" specs)

Cabinet IR's from:

  • Marshall 1960B V30
  • Marshall 1960BV G12V
  • Orange PPC412 1999 V30
  • EVH 412 G12EVH
  • Marshall 1960A G12-T75
  • Mesa Boogie Oversized 2005 V30
  • Mesa Boogie Oversized 2002 V30
  • Marshall 70's Straight cab with K100's

I suggest either turning your DI signal up loud, or using a gain plugin before ToneX or Amplitube. For some reason IK calibrated their software to work accurately with a loud signal rather than one with plenty of headroom. The gain knob in ToneX can also be used to find the sweet spot for distortion.

Amp models captured at 11.4dBu

Excellent resource!
Format: Paperback
This is an amazing book. In Lorrie's way she breaks down EFT in a clear and concise way and provides strong support for all clinicians regardless of their level of training or experience. I can see this book being a go to book and plan to refer to it regularly both as a clinicna and as a supervisor of EFT therapists.
