Following a recent wave of discoveries uncovering rare early audio and video material, a newly unearthed recording from SCORPIONS now emerges!
This release captures the newly reborn SCORPIONS live in Minden, Germany on May 3, 1974, recorded in excellent high-quality sound and presented here in complete form for the very first time.
After the release of their debut album, Michael Schenker left the band to join UFO, and SCORPIONS merged with Uli Jon Roth’s band DAWN ROAD, forming this new lineup.
The recording originates from the same venue, same date, and the same audience taper as the recently released “THE OLDEST BITES” from 1973 featuring Michael Schenker. Thanks to this outstanding audience master, the sound quality can be described as top-tier and exceptional.
Chronologically, this performance took place just after the recording of their second album, and the setlist consists almost entirely of songs that had not yet been released at that time, including previously unreleased material.
Highlights abound: from the rare repertoire to the overwhelming presence of Uli Jon Roth, whose performance is astonishing considering he was only 19 years old at the time.
Every aspect of this recording makes it a true highlight—an absolute must-have item for fans and collectors alike!!
