About the Author

Born in Rochester, Minnesota, Declan James is anything but an average middle school student at heart. Declan began writing at six years old, though his short stories were never published. Commonly in his writing it was always clear he enjoyed being inspired by his ancestry and personal experiences to incorporate into his writing to provide a more realistic feeling to fantasy. Writing characters each individually based off of people in his life, or traits of his own personality to better bring the people to life. He now lives in Wisconsin and enjoys spending time with his closest friends and participating in the local Renaissance Faire.
