Southern football fans worship their teams, often rearranging their personal lives in order to accommodate season schedules. The Origins of Southern College Football sheds new light on the South's obsession with football and explores the sport's beginnings below the Mason-Dixon Line in the decades after the Civil War.
Military defeat followed by a long period of cultural unrest compelled many southerners to look to northern ideas and customs for guidance in rebuilding their beleaguered society. Ivy League universities, considered bastions of enlightenment and symbols of the modernizing spirit of the age, provided a particular source of inspiration for southerners in the form of organized or "scientific" football that featured standardized rules and scoring. Transported to the South by men educated at northern universities, scientific football reinforced cultural values that had existed in the region for centuries, among them a tolerance for violence, respect for martial displays, and support for traditional gender roles. The game also held the promise of a "New South" that its supporters hoped would transform the region into an industrial powerhouse. Students and townspeople alike embraced the new sport, which served as a source of pride for a region that lagged woefully behind its northern counterpart in terms of social equity and economic prowess. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for teething puppies

I purchased the Nylabone puppy chew toys for my teething puppy, and they’ve been a big help. The toys are the perfect size for a young puppy and feel durable without being too hard.
My puppy enjoys chewing on them, and they’ve helped redirect chewing away from furniture and shoes. I also like that they’re designed specifically for puppies, so they’re gentle enough for growing teeth and gums.
The variety in the set keeps my puppy interested, and the toys have held up well with daily use. They’re easy to clean and feel safe to give to a puppy.
Overall, these are great chew toys for puppies. They’re effective, well made, and helpful during the teething stage. I would definitely recommend them to new puppy owners.

Happy puppy with this durable bone

Our new puppy loves the texture and thickness of this bone. She is an aggressive chewed and has not yet destroyed this bone. We have purchased Nylabones for our dogs year after year and have had several happy puppies over the years.

Great value for your new puppy!
Pattern Name: Cow Chew Toy Set
My puppy ripped through many other puppy toys before I bought this set. Her favorite toy is the ring with the rope. I don't know if it's intended that she bites the ring part, but she likes the rope part and I hold the ring part. It makes for more enjoyable tug game for me as well since my fingers are protected when she gets over zealous and chomps higher on the rope. The little blue rope is harder on the fingers in that regard, but is great for an integrated tug and toss game. The blue dumbbell is great to hide a treat in the ends or a little peanut butter and has proven durable. The blue and white chewbone is a durable occupier through getting her adult teeth. I save the plushie and the jingle ball for car rides so I don't have as much to report for them. The whole set has been well worth the price. I got this for her at 4 months old and am reviewing at 6 months old. She is about 25 lbs now, so I estimate this set is good for small and medium puppies. Larger puppies might outgrow this faster.
