Most lip balms and lip gloss on the market use petroleum byproducts or chemically made ingredients as base oil, and then add in all kinds of artificial colorings and other chemicals. Other chemicals are often added as well, such as microcrystalline waxes, hydrogenated oils, chemically made sunscreen, artificial coloring and preservatives.
