The concept of the modern city presented a model that intended to introduce regularity into the inhabitantÕs lifestyle, it was a framework that created barriers instead of thresholds. Its product, a typical structure of built form versus an exterior composed of access networks and public spaces, does not encourage personal exploration or spaces for societal relief. They generate monotonous structures that promote monotonous one-lined lifestyles with little room for the in-between or time spaces for states of change. Humanities nomadic nature has overpowered this city model, and disruptions in a perfect grid have been inevitable. This architectural intervention intends to celebrate human change and nomadism by creating series of continuities that transport inhabitants through thresholds that blur the boundaries between exterior/interior and public/private. Binary conditions are eliminated and the result is a gradient of spaces that allow for a wide range of interpretation and a non-stationary lifestyle.
