Waziyatawin Angela Wilson, both a historian and a member of the Dakota Nation, demonstrates the value of oral history in this bilingual presentation and skillful analysis of the stories told by the Dakota elder Eli Taylor (1908-99). Taylor lived on the Sioux Valley Reserve in Manitoba, Canada, and was adopted into Wilson's family in 1988. He agreed to tell her his story and to share his accounts of the origins, history, and life ways of the Dakotas. In these pages he tells of Dakota history, the United States-Dakota Conflict of 1862, Dakota values, and the mysterious powers of the world. Wilson gracefully contextualizes and complements Taylor's stories with a careful analysis and distillation of the narratives. Additionally, she provides an overview of Dakota history and a substantial critique of the use of oral accounts by mainstream historians. It ok but a bit small for my golden and I have to supervise him.

I don't recommend. Too big for my small dog. Too small for my big dog. They have similar bones but these just seem odd. ** WELL actually after some time they both will chew on them, especially my golden. Do be careful watch the dog while chewing. My home health care aid thought they were real. they are holding up well.

Finally a chew toy my aggressive chewer can’t destroy

I’ve gone through countless “indestructible” dog toys that lasted maybe a day—sometimes only minutes. My dog is an aggressive chewer and treats most toys like a personal challenge. These Fuufome chew toys are the real deal.
Right out of the box, you can tell they’re made from tough, high-quality nylon. My dog went to work on them immediately, and days later there’s barely any noticeable wear. No chunks missing, no sharp edges, and no mess on the floor. That alone puts these way above most toys I’ve tried.
I also love that they actually keep my dog busy. Instead of getting bored and looking for something else to chew (like furniture), she’ll settle in and happily gnaw on these for a long time. It’s been great for mental stimulation and for redirecting destructive chewing.
The fact that you get two durable toys in the pack is a bonus, and they’ve held up exactly as advertised. If you have a large breed or an aggressive chewer and you’re tired of wasting money on toys that don’t last, these are absolutely worth it.
Highly recommend—this is one of the few chew toys that has truly lived up to the “indestructible” claim. 🐶💪

Perfect bones for dachshunds

I buy the medium size bones for my dachshund and my daughter’s 3 dachshund. The are a great shape for them to hold in their paws or to play with a second dachshund. They love the smell and taste. The dachshunds are entertained for hours, chewing, carrying and fighting over. The weight is light enough to be easily carried. The bones are durable enough to last a month with vigorous use. The value of play time to cost is good. I buy 4 bones each month for four dachshunds to share.

My older dog (8 years old) loves this one. It’s still tough but has more give than some of the other chew toys. He has an easier time holding this shape in his skinny paws (chihuahau)
