Meleng is among Assam’s oldest tea gardens, renowned for cultivating both traditional Assamica and clonal varieties. Its historical prominence is marked by the development of the iconic P-126 clone, which originated here and continues to thrive across 20 hectares—making it a lasting contributor to Assam’s tea landscape.
Spanning over 1,340 hectares—with 840 under active cultivation—Meleng blends its rich heritage with modern tea-making practices. Season after season, it continues to craft teas that are both timeless and exceptional—celebrated for their bold flavors, historic roots, and enduring quality.
