Matrix is a highly porous biomedia designed to deliver effective biofiltration for eliminating nitrogenous waste. This product is an inorganic solid with a diameter of approximately 10mm. KEY FEATURES:
  • Exceptional biofiltration capacity
  • Regulates ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels
  • Extremely porous – vast surface area (>~700 m2/L)
  • Accommodates both aerobic and anaerobic bacterial species
DIRECTIONS: For every 200L (50 US gallons) of water, use 250mL of Matrix. This media can be utilized in any type of filter, with canister filters showing particularly effective results. The size of Matrix is adequate enough that most applications will not require a filter bag.
