In 1916, Einstein proposed three tests of general relativity, subsequently called the "classical tests" of general relativity:
¥ the perihelion precession of Mercury's orbit
¥ the deflection of light by the Sun
¥ the gravitational redshift of light.
The key evidence on which Einstein relied to support his theory was the first of these, which related to unexplained errors in the observations of Mercury's orbit reported in 1859 by Urbain Le Verrier, the Director of the Paris Observatory. As the available publications that led to Le VerrierÕs claim, which were developed over a period of nearly two decades, were complex and only available in French, as part of a larger project, I translated them into English and annotated them, to make them easier to understand. As it appeared that this might be helpful to other researchers, I decided to publish my translations in the current volume.

This book provides translations of two books, Le Verrier, U. -J. (1841), DŽveloppements sur Plusieurs Points de la ThŽorie des Perturbations des Plantes (Developments on several points of the Theory of Perturbations of Planets); and Le Verrier, U. -J. (1845), ThŽorie du mouvement de Mecure (The Theory of the Movement of Mercury); and a 195-page article, Le Verrier, U. -J. (1859), Theorie du Mouvement de Mercure (The Theory of the Movement of Mercury), Chapter XV in the Annales de LÕObservatoire ImpŽrial de Paris. It also includes a translation of the 1859 letter in which Le Verrier reported his claim, Lettre de M. Le Verrier ˆ M. Faye sur la thŽorie de Mercure et sur le mouvement du pŽrihŽlie de cette plante (Letter from M. Le Verrier to M. Faye on the theory of Mercury and on the perihelion movement of this planet), which was published in the Comptes rendus hebdomadaires des sŽances de l'AcadŽmie des Sciences (Paris).

The conclusions from this detailed review are that, rather than implying a systematic error in the calculated values, the steady reduction in the errors in the equations of condition could be seen to be a demonstration of a linear improvement in the accuracy of the measurements over time as one might expect, resulting in no adjustment to the elliptic elements, and no difference between the calculated rates of precession, and no support for EinsteinÕs theory of general relativity.

Great buy
Size: Large (Pack of 1), Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Definitely recommend. My new rescue has chewed though I can’t even tell you how many “indestructible” toys in under 10 minutes. Not this! We’ve had it a few days and she loves it. Hasn’t chewed through it at all and it literally keeps her busy for an hour at the minimum. Would buy again. Great quality for the price and made to last. Perfect for aggressive chewers.

Great for Slowing Down Snack Time
Size: Large (Pack of 1), Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
My dog, an English Lab, is a voracious chewer, and destroys most toys in a matter of seconds. He also swallows most snacks without even chewing, and finishes meals in record time. It takes him about 20 minutes to get everything out of the Kong, and since I hide it somewhere on our property, he also takes several minutes to find it. He seems to really love the challenge, and it’s nice to have him take more time with a snack. I tried the Kong Easy Treat to seal the toy, but I find peanut butter works just as well (especially when frozen after being filled and sealed), and it’s cheaper and easier to use.

This product actually lives up to the title of indestructible.

This is the only toy I've had which my dog hasn't destroyed in minutes. I have had a few others that will at least last a few months, but Kong extreme has held up over the years. I like the fact that I can stuff it with treats, bits of other "indestructible" toys and seal it up with peanut butter, then pop it in the freezer to give her an extra 15 minute challenge. I have a couple so I can clean one while she's busy with the other. This size seems to be the best for a ~90lb. dog, the large end being roughly the same size as a tennis ball, which she loves as well.

Great product but choose a size or two up
Size: Large (Pack of 1), Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Nice quality toy for long lasting and engaging play! One star docked for the sizing—I don't usually expect to need an xl anything for my 45lb border collie but he cant even fit his canine teeth into the large size to ease the jerky reward out in "hard" position but "easy" position he doesn't even tough the toy just grabs the jerky. Got an XL and it has been great for the jerky both easy and hard positioning. The larges I keep around for liquidy and frozen treats to keep the mess contained and they work very well for that.
