This pack actually contains a bundle made from 3 amplifiers. The 8080 and 8100 are functionally identical, but as with any amp, the tolerances and age of components can make a small difference. The 8100 was a 90's solid state design from Marshall that has gone on to be a high gain icon. The 8200 was a continuation of this series, offering stereo outputs, an extra FX loop, a different style of clipping and a chorus. Meshuggah famously used the 8200 on early material. Noel Gallagher of Oasis was a famous user of the early Valvestate amps too.

I've designed a variety of tones from these amplifiers - despite the associations of Death and Meshuggah, it's a very flexible amplifier capable of producing nice tones across a variety of gain ranges and genres. The fast attack of the solid state design really lends itself to fast single note precise riffing.
