The Weathering Magazine is the only publication completely focused on the most enjoyable and effective painting and weathering techniques for finishing scale models and figures. Our contributors will fuel your imagination and provide the learning experience you need to explore the limits of your modelling aspirations.

The latest issue of your favourite magazine is a real treat for fans of extreme weathering with a focus on abandoned vehicles, aircraft, and Mecha. This wildly popular subject provides the opportunity to showcase multiple weathering effects accumulated in different conditions and varied environments over long periods of time. Abandoned machinery is a great canvas for learning and practicing to expand your knowledge of weathering effects and techniques including rust, chipping paint, and streaking effects. In “Beast in the River” which shows extreme rust and paint wear on a T-55 abandoned in an Afghani river. With “Radioactive Rust” you will be shown how similar effects accumulate in a less humid environment as a 1/72 Zil 131 is left to rot in the contaminated city scape. This article also demonstrates how nature slowly reclaims not only an abandoned vehicle, but also its surroundings. In another unique example, an AMMO T-54 is used as the basis for an abandoned tank on the High Way of Death, exposed to extreme dry and hot conditions. The “Derelict” article portrays an abandoned T-33A with extreme weathering not just on the exterior but also inside the rotting interior. With the abandoned “MSN - 03 Sazabi” you will see Mecha in a different way. This incredibly popular genre is often depicted in a clean anime style of painting, this robot has been left exposed and pilotless to accumulate extreme rust and dust. As it forms the focal point of a diorama it also shows the effect of the Mecha's destruction on a nearby structure. Finally, “Sweet Retirement” shows the effects of time on an abandoned Chieftain not lost in battle, but instead left on public display without any maintenance or upkeep. With each article you will discover tips and techniques that you can easily transfer to your models to radically improve your finished projects. Whether a beginner or experienced modeller, you are guaranteed to be inspired and learn from this issue.

The Weathering Magazine explains all featured painting and weathering techniques with detailed "step-by-step" articles, showing you how to perform each technique as illustrated through high-quality images and concise descriptions from some of the world's best modellers. This eagerly awaited new issue of TWM is sure to be a collector's favourite, each page filled with useful techniques and every article a learning resource couched in inspiration for all genre and level of modeller.

Epson SureColor F170 Dye-Sublimation Printer. Includes Full Set of Ink
I recently invested in the Epson SureColor F170 Dye-Sublimation Printer, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. This printer is designed specifically for dye-sublimation printing, offering vibrant, high-quality prints with incredible color accuracy and sharp details. The setup was straightforward, and the included full set of ink made it easy to start printing immediately without any extra purchases. The inks produce bright, durable prints that work wonderfully on a variety of sublimation-compatible materials like fabric, ceramics, and metal. What I appreciate most is the compact design of the F170 — it fits comfortably on my workspace without taking up too much room. The printer operates quietly and efficiently, making it ideal for both small business and hobbyist use. Print speeds are impressive for the quality delivered, and the Epson software integration helps streamline the printing process. Whether you’re creating custom apparel, personalized gifts, or promotional products, this printer provides consistent, professional-grade results. Overall, the Epson SureColor F170 is a reliable, user-friendly dye-sublimation printer that’s perfect for anyone looking to get into sublimation printing or upgrade their current setup. Highly recommended! Wish was borderless printing

I would not recommend if you can afford something more expensive
So far the sublimated color is not true: (example) the pretty pink comes out as orange on both polyester fabric and wooden coaster using the only three setting on the printer: paper, photo glossy, photo matt. There is no “presentation” setting for the excellent color I had on the Epson ET-2800 (which I would NOT recommend for durability nor Epson’s customer service!). I purchased Epson, again, ONLY because I could not afford other sublimation printers and this one had the best reviews of what I could find. But Epson has its customers held hostage by way of the ink. IF YOU USE ANY BRAND SUBLIMATION INK OTHER THAN EPSON, THEY WILL NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY. And Epson ink is EXPENSIVE (“average” is ~ $0.55/print based on 200 pages/bottle) when compared to the brand offered on Amazon as a substitute. So I’d recommend buying the Assurion coverage if you plan to use sublimation ink other than Epson. That is the ONLY thing that saved me when the ET-2800 went Caput (twice!). (The last time it was trashed, so Assurion refunded the original purchase price—within the mfr warranty time which Epson refused to honor.)

Get’s the job done.
It works good. It didn't come with a cord or clear instructions on how to use it. I used my cord from my printer to get it started. I would have sent it back but you can't once you add ink.
