Trupa Trupa play rock, come from Poland, and consist of four musicians in a guitars-bass-drums-keyboard-vocals line-up. The story of Headache would perhaps have ended there if a certain Sasha Frere-Jones, one of today's most prominent and influential critics, hadn't written in the Los Angeles Times that "one of the best rock bands doing business now is from Gdansk, Poland." While on a trip to Poland, Stéphane Grégoire, label manager and founder of the Ici d'Ailleurs label, first met Trupa Trupa at a concert by another Polish talent, Stefan Wesolowski. The group gave him a copy of Headache which he put straight on his turntable on return to France. He was taken at once and fell straight in love. Soon enough, the reactions were coming in quick. Everyone thought, like Sasha Frere-Jones, that this really is one of the best rock albums of recent years. Trupa Trupa synthesizes what is best in the genre since the early '90s - from Pavement to Slint via The Black Angels - with unstoppable, spontaneous compositions with a real freshness. But it is primarily as an album, a true thoughtful and constructed set of 11 tracks which cannot be separated from each other, that Headache really comes into it's own. The third album from a band that nobody saw coming, has been deemed a rare pearl by those who have had the chance to listen. "One of the best rock bands doing business now is from Gdansk, Poland. The lead singer of Trupa Trupa is poet Grzegorz Kwiatkowski, who sings (and speaks, sometimes) in English. The band recalls a less woozy version of Dungen, another band who know their '60s psychedelia but don't sound like thirsty revivalists. Kwiatkowski leans into the conversational loopiness of Syd Barrett and the band flowers behind him. A very comfy, pleasant casual sports watch- especially good for training

The Ironman series of watches has been around for about 40 years now, and with good reason. The current iteration doesn't disappoint. It's light weight, easy-to-read, has a good backlight, offers simple operation, great buttons, a decently loud chime, and is a feature rich watch. I purchased this one on a lark; it was sold as "used- very good" from an Amazon warehouse for $20. The Timex packaging/ box was damaged, but the watch itself was new, wrapped and seemed unused. Since I do not wear an item's packaging, I always look for such items when shopping on Amazon, as it can save quite a bit. In this case it was $12 less expensive, or about 1/3 less costly.
I have owned a digital watch for over 40 years; from left to right in the photo- my 1980 Seiko (owned since new), my daily Casio, which has solar and atomic clock radio signal time setting, and the Ironman for you to compare size. Owning a number of Casio digital watches, I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and ease of use of this Timex Ironman. The Ironman does feel somewhat more "plasticky" that some Casio watches I have, which may influence some buyers. But once you get past that feel, if you like the look of the watch, it's a great offering, especially at a $20 price point. The on the Ironman, a chronograph, a countdown timer, a second time zone, three alarms, 30 lap records, occasion reminders , and a perpetual calendar make it comparable, or better than many of the similarly priced Casio offerings. The Ironman does not feel quite as substantial as some of the lower cost G-Shock offerings I have tried, but is at least as comfy on my 7 1/2 inch wrist. Water resistance seems fine at 100 meters, and the recessed plastic crystal should avoid most scratches. The features should be very useful for those who do not want to wear a smartwatch for training. I hope this review has been helpful.

this is the perfect daily everyday use digital watch........

hands down the best edc digital watch available, this watch is everything you need at a quarter of the cost of other digital watches. we all know the durability of iron man watches its legendary, but where this watch beats even other iron man offerings is the size of the digital numbers displayed a bit larger for aging eyes and what makes it even more durable than the other iron man watch's is that the instructional labeling of the buttons is under the glass and wont fade or rub off under use making it look cleaner and newer for longer. now lets mention the size or foot print of this watch, i own several watches from competing brands and almost once a day i hit the watch on something a door knob a table corner, but when I'm wearing this Timex 40mm i never hit it on anything due to the thinness of the watch.
