Students will learn:
- Essential handgun rules for safe gun handling
- The particular pistol model parts and operation
- Ammunition types and effectiveness
- Shooting fundamentals: 2 hours of one-on-one with a certified instructor
- How to clean and maintain a pistol
- Continued opportunities for skill development
We teach you all the things we wish we would have known when we started. We also cover gear selection and dispel many myths in regards to this equipment.
Description
- Excluding a firearm and ammunition, you will be provided all of the material and equipment you need for this class when you arrive at the training facility.
- If you choose to bring your own firearm, you must bring 100 rounds of ammo in your chosen caliber.
RENTAL INFORMATION:
- A 9mm or .22 cal pistol including ammunition is an additional $110 and a background check will be conducted. This will include ammunition for up to 2 people who can share the one rental firearm.
(Please wear weather appropriate, comfortable athletic clothing, no open top blouses or low cut shirts.)
Additional information
A class deposit is required to hold your seat. The deposit is non refundable and the remaining balance must be paid within 3 weeks of your scheduled class date.

Essential Handgun is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to semi automatic pistols within a small group class.
This course is 5 hours TOTAL, which includes classroom and range time learning to shoot semi automatic pistols. Verrett’s Tactical instructors are dedicated to creating safer, more responsible gun owners through hands-on education and comprehensive training methods.
