The book covers 400 years of history and details the service of 55 ancestors from 14 families including Bell, Bussey, Carmichael(9), Cole(2), Gay(12), Ingram, Maycock, Mouat, Pace(4), Paschal(3), Reese(4), Sessamen(5), Speer(6), and Zachry(5).
Sessamen began his research while working on his applications for the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR), the Jamestowne Society and the General Society of the War of 1812. He became the Registrar for the Cahaba-Coosa Chapter of the SAR in 2014 and has helped dozens of candidates prove their lineage to Revolutionary Patriots and obtain society membership.
