Description:

Hand-forged and polished with 12 different processes, the blade of the Katana Orora demonstrates a perfect combination of strength and elegance. Sharp and resilient, it has passed all cutting tests (Tameshigiri) with flying colors, showcasing its effectiveness in both heavy and light cuts. The blade is made of galvanized black and red carbon steel 1095, offering a unique aesthetic and robust performance. Solid and extended to the hilt, the blade ensures impact resistance and superior stability. Each katana is meticulously crafted and hand-sharpened, following the molds of traditional katanas from feudal Japan, with pieces fitted precisely to avoid any wobbling during handling.

• Blade: The blade of the Katana Orora is forged and polished manually through a traditional method, using ultra-pure carbon steel. The galvanization process gives the blade its impressive black and red color, combining modern techniques with tradition.
• Galvanization: A chemical process that adds color to the surface layer of the blade. This technique is the only modern nature applied, while the other forging methods remain artisanal and traditional.
• Tsuba: The tsuba, located above the saya, is decorated and made by fusing metals. In addition to its decorative function, it protects the user's hand from slipping over the blade during use.
• Habaki (blade collar): A metal piece that ensures the union between the blade and the sheath, with both aesthetic and functional roles. Small scratches are normal and do not affect the quality.
• Hi: The groove on the opposite side of the edge provides audible feedback and reduces the weight of the sword, without compromising its strength and stability.
• Menuki: Decorations on the hilt, one on each side, add a touch of sophistication and aesthetic value to the sword.

The crafting time for your personalized sword is approximately 15 days. After production, your sword will be shipped directly from Hong Kong, where our forge is located, using the best available air courier at the time.
