To further boost fidelity, the housing is a die-cast aluminum for lower resonance, and the aluminum cantilever is tapered to lower the mass near the tip for faster transmission.
As with other stereo AT-VMx cartridges, this is designed to closely mirror the cutter heads that make vinyl masters by using the same 90° V-shape configuration to maximize tracking accuracy, channel separation, and clarity. Additional features include optimized PCUHD copper in both coils, easier installation, and more.
