在大學中文系教了一輩子的書，古典詩詞專業。四十歲以前做夢都沒想過會為小朋友寫故事，只因被人誘惑，胡裡胡塗參與了國民學校教師研習會編纂小學國語文實驗教材的工作，半被迫半被騙地開始自寫課文，從此走上兒童文學的歧路。目前退休在家閒蹲，偶爾為一些教師開班講解故事寫作的訣要。這本《水鬼》是他第一本正式出版的圖畫書。

《水鬼》改編自臺灣嘉義的民間故事，講述善良敦厚的漁夫與水鬼之間奇異卻深厚感人的友誼。作者劉漢初原為在大學教授古典詩詞的教授，他說他的創作原本都喜歡使用較誇大的敘述方式，但這次他決定將這些華麗的辭藻和修飾通通都捨棄掉，為的就是表現出主角們樸實且真誠的個性。
故事裡其實並沒有直接以文字寫出人物們的性格，但劉教授利用故事情節的安排以及主角們之間的對話……等「沒有明說」的細節，讓漁夫和水鬼的形象鮮明且生動，更加栩栩如生！
本書的發生在古代的水邊，因此以「水墨」這種在繪本中較少見的技法來呈現，繪者陳美燕特地為此作品選用了新的紙材，並且在草圖與彩稿的呈現反覆琢磨，一有味道不對、氛圍不對，便是義無反顧的重畫再重畫，為的就是要讓讀者們享受《水鬼》樸實真摯的故事。
《水鬼》以別出心裁的文字及水墨繪畫，帶您以新的眼光看見這個經典的友誼故事。

Game Changer for Coffee Lovers

I purchased the Circle Joy Rechargeable frother mostly because of the price. The frothy-whipped cream is a treat on the weekends, and the last hand frother I purchased zapped out. WoW - this one is amazing! The last one I had was battery operated, and wasn't as fast as this one. I now use it everyday because it works so quickly. It comes with a "lid" for the blender part, so I can toss in my briefcase. Love that recharges quickly so its ready when I am. Great price, easy to use, looks sleek, and tiny enough to take with you. LOVE, FiVE Stars

Works great when it works.... But I've bought three this year and two of them just unexpectedly died with no logical reason. Giving up and trying a new brand for my protein coffee drinks. *Edit....after original review the seller offered a refund and apologized for the issues I had. Great buy!

Great product. I'm glad I bought this to replace my old, cheap one that I got from Ikea. I like that it has double whisk as it does froth my liquids really well. I like the speed of it and it's easy to use and wash. The battery life is pretty long as well. I haven't charged it since I got it.

Pretty darn good frother...

This is a pretty darn good frother/whisk, which we use primarily for mixing Crystal Light and LMNT drinks. It holds a charge for a long time and it is easy to recharge with the USB-C port and cable. My only complaint is that you must hold the power button continuously while operating it which is challenging to do using tall cups. It would be much better if is was a two stage on-off switch and had a longer wand, which isn't as long as it could be. But the unit is lightweight, easy to use and very versatile. Overall, I would buy it again.
